We loved our cruise and will do it again. The staff were personable and knowledgable. We listened to the other reviews and arrived a little early for a good spot on the boat, brought snacks with us and dressed warmly. We had a blast!

Wonderful way to view Charleston Harbor

The ride was relaxing, and the scenery was beautiful. It was especially nice when the captain cut the engine and we went under sail. It would have been nice to have some formal narration from the crew (they just walk around and answer questions, basically). The weather was perfect on the night that we sailed. Sunset was bautiful. We were fortunate enough to have a brief glimpse of a couple of dolphins in the harbor.

Relaxing sail for those who already know the area.

This sail was probably not the best choice for my husband and myself. We probably should have chosen a narrated tour, since this was our first time to Charleston. Although the crew was very knowledgeable, we felt as though we were asking too many questions as to what we were seeing.

More of a boat ride.
Fri, Oct 10, 08   2:00 PM hankski17 Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
More of a "sail boat" experience than a "Charleston" type tour. Crew was very nice and accomidating. I expected a little more site seeing and this was more of a sailing type boat ride. It was enjoyable, but not a can't miss type experience.

The two hour trip was smooth and very pleasant. The crew were very professional, friendly and courteous. We took the sunset cruise in early October and we would recommend a sweater as well as a light wind breaker at that time of the year. The sunset was spectacular and we would definitely take this trip again

Exciting Sail

Lovely weather for a lively sail in the bay. Guests relax on deck; beware there are not comfortable separate seats for you. Great group of sailors serve you drinks if desired. Beware that prices are considerably (avout 20%) more expensive than listed in 2008 AAA guide!

Beautiful view of Charleston

This is the second time I have sailed on the Schooner Pride and it was another wonderful experience. The weather was picture perfect, we had good wind, and the crew was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. I can't imagine taking a motorized vessel after being on the Pride. This is one of my favorite activities in Charleston.

Fun and relaxing

My husband and I enjoyed meeting and talking with the crew and our fellow passengers. It was a very congenial group, and I think everyone on board enjoyed the experience. We sipped wine and relaxed and took in the view, especially the beautiful sunset. We visit Charleston five or six times a year, and we plan to do this again. We have already recommended this excursion to a lot of our friends who visit the Low Country.

worth the money

i would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. the harbor is beautiful and watching the sunset from the water with no sound except the waves hitting the sides of the boat was breathtaking. there were moments where it was so pretty that everyone aboard was totally silent... except for whispers of amazement. Try to plan for a time when the sky is clear, if you can. it is worth the money.

it was a little crowded, seats weren't exactly comfortable and if you sit at either end of the boat you might have to move/be on the lookout for moving objects more than if you were to sit near the middle. i wouldn't say it was extremely romantic because there were people within inches of you in every direction, but it was still a beautiful sail. the crew was very nice and knowledgeable. saw a dolphin. i would recommend it.
