An Evening of Relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the Schooner 'Pride'. Smaller numbers and an attentive sailing staff made for an individualized experience. Our captain and his 'mates' were personable and knowledgeable and made the trip fun, even though the winds were light! Would highly recommend for a relaxing evening in Charleston Harbor, with a bit of a unique twist! |

My kids and I loved the trip. Dolphins and cannon fire along with a beautiful sunset. Great crew! Would definitely go again! |

Relaxing sail on the harbor. Help raise the sails or steer the boat or just kick back and relax. Must stress that this is not a tour of the harbor. The crew is very knowledgable and will answer questions you may have about the city, but there is no "guide" or script. Just enjoy the ride! We did see several dolphins throughout the sail. |

Enjoyed the ability to ask questions, talk to the crew and to participate in the sailing of the boat if you desired. I was glad that we took the cruise. |

We were one of the not-so-lucky ones to go on the sail without any wind. Our sail boat didn't go too far and while it was a sunset cruise with a purported sail by the forts we hardly got to do any forts or landmarks. Our captain was kind enough to take us under the Ravenel Bridge. The crew was alright - they could have been more informative about what was happening what was not happening. Most of the 2 hr sail we were just waiting with no wind in the sails and wondering what the plan was (whether we could go to the forts or not). All in all, we were unlucky, but the crew onboard could have made the most of the situation. I won't go on this sail again. |

My husband and I took the afternoon sailboat tour and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff was great and very knowledgeable of the landmarks in the harbor and of the boat. We would for sure sail again with them! Thanks for a great experience! |

The trip was simply the best. Two full hours of sailing in Charleston Harbour.
The sunset was spectacular (which is out of anyone's control) but the boat itself was excellent - well maintained and impeccably presented.
Being on a sailboat gave one the sensation of actually sailing rather than doing a bus trip on water.
There is no commentary as such (a good thing) but the Captain and crew will answer any question.
Bar prices were reasonable.
Highly recommended. |

We are a retired couple who travel with a small dog. We were delighted that we could take the dog on the cruise with us. We all enjoyed the cruise, including the dog. The crew were extremely nice. I highly recommend this trip. |

Had a wonderful afternoon sail aboard the Pride. The boat was clean and uncrowded, the crew was friendly and informative, and the sights were fantastic! The kids were able to help raise and lower the sails and even had a chance to steer the boat. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful and unique experience! |

Have sailed with them before. Very enjoyable. Great way to see the city. We had a good wind and cloud cover on our sail. Left on time. |

This was just the trip we were looking for. I was concerned that there would not be enough information as this is not a guided tour, and i was pleasantly relieved that staff were more than forthcoming with information. They made sure to ask us for more questions and they had a wealth of knowledge, i never had to track someone down to ask a question and i could listen in on someone else's questions. The tour seemed to take longer than i thought it would and i really loved that there was no motor drowning out the conversations. I was impressed that so many locals take this tour, not just tourists which is why i think it was so much more enjoyable than the usual cramped cattle corral of a tour bus style that you see so often. |

Sunset Sail: Best 2 Hours in Charleston

I'm kind of a sail geek, but I think that even if I wasn't, this would still be the best 2 hour tour in Charleston (versus ghost, pub, or other similar tour on the peninsula). We got to see the fort, the bridge, and the carrier from the water. Bring a snack and order a wine- have a great time! |

Loved the sailing, views and boat. Felt something was missing without an ongoing description from the capt/crew about what was happening and what we could see. they were very friendly and helpful, but there was so much more about the area and sailing on that ship that would have been of great interest to the passengers. Most had never been on a sailboat, most knew nothing about the harbor; there was so much more value and enjoyment that could have been given from the crew. |
