LOVED IT

It was just a fun and very relaxing, laidback kind of time. If you want an out-of-the ordinary kind of date, then this is the perfect thing to do!

The crew was friendly and could answer many types of questions. The sailboat in the harbor watching the Dolphin and pelicans and seeing the sunset was a beautiful way to enjoy Charleston sc

Sunset was beautiful

We boarded the boat with a total of 49 passengers. There was not any room to move about the boat and take pictures. I felt like I was stuck where I was. I did not get to explore the boat. My husband loves sail boats and pretty much had to stand the whole time that we were aboard. The sunset was very nice and the bridge is stunning. Also a good view of the Yorktown.

Neat Idea

This is a really neat activity that would be much more enjoyable with fewer participants. It was basically standing room only for the entire 2 hours. I'm sure that the number of passengers helps keep the cost down, but I'd be willing to pay more to be able to sit as well as wander around the ship more freely.

The staff were very friendly, the trip was relaxing and fun. Having the wind in your face is always a great way to end the day. I am a local and never get tired of seeing our beautiful city from the water.

Seating could be more comfortable and a little food would be nice. The ladies did a great job and it was very nice.

fun ride

Very pleasant, no sea sickness, but not as fast moving as I expected. Crew was knowledgeable and helpful. Seating was a little tight, depending on if you like your back against the side of a complete stranger for 2 hrs for those of us who had corner "seating".

Great time! Would recommend it highly!

My husband and I had one other experience on a schooner in St Augustine, Florida. In comparing the two, I"d have to say that the only advantage the other had over this one was the food and drink availability. They actually served wine/beer/drinks as well as cheese, fruit, and crackers. This was actually included in the the cost of the saling! Yes, all the beer and wine and snacks you could drink on the 2 hour sail!! The cost of the sail was comparable to Charleston schooner sail at $25-$30 a person. Other than the amenities, my husband and I had a wonderful time sailing with the Schooner Pride and will definitely make it a must do the next time we visit you're beautiful city.

Worth the Trip

My wife and I were honeymooning in Charleston and found the sunset cruise on a website while looking for things to enjoy. I had a sense that a leisurely trip around the harbour would be about as pleasant an experience as one could have. The staff was knowledgeble about the boat, area, and sailing. I was also thankful that there was no on-going monolog by the crew about the the sites we were seeing, yet when asked, they were knowledgable and friendlty. The only sounds were the creaking of the rigging, a gentle breeze, waves lapping, and the low murmer of other passengers. It was as pleasant an experience as one can imagine and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful experience. It was truly worth the trip.

calm and quiet

The 2 hour schooner sailboat tour downtown at sunset was beautiful. The view of the city was one that to experience by water...you have to do at least once while in Charleston. The cost of the trip was pricey because drinks were not included or allowed to be brought aboard. The staff was courteous, but no "guided tour" was given. The sail was calm and quiet and could have used a little music in the background. The trip was kid friendly; allowing them to "sail" the schooner and pull the sails up, as directed by staff.

The sunset sail was very enjoyable. The crew was friendly and helpful, and made the sail seem very personal. The scenery was beautiful, and provided another glimpse of the beautifully historic Charleston. Highly recomended for a group of friends or a romantic date.

Wonderful but would like some narration

My group and I had a wonderful time on the schooner. The crew was attentive and friendly. The only thing that we would have like was some short narration about the sites that we were passing.
