the trip was terrific. Those kids work hard-I hope for more than tips.
The cannon firing was the best part. Everything was so great!!
Thank you

Our girl's trip highlight was the sunset cruise! Such a peaceful and wonderful time. Thanks to the crew and captain - especially for arranging an incredible sunset :) |

The "sail" was no more interesting or inspiring than the boat shuttle to Sumter.
I have taken other sails and they were much more exciting, actually sailing, not just meandering around the bay. One even stopped for lunch at a crab shack, partaking in local catch |

We were looking for some harbor cruise to take while we were in Charleston on an anniversary getaway. We were so happy to find this schooner cruise. We took the sunset cruise. We brought a picnic supper and enjoyed the views. After walking and sightseeing all day, it was a romantic, relaxing, and wonderful way to see the harbor and city of Charleston. The change of pace was wonderful. The crew was friendly but not intrusive. We cannot wait to have the opportunity to sail "The Pride" again! |

The main attraction for me was simply being out sailing, and this was perfect for that! After not having the opportunity to sail for many years, this gave me two hours of an honest to goodness sail with a seasoned crew and great wind to fill the sails. Perfect day!
The crew lacked the Charleston warmth we had become accustomed to, but the young man on the crew seemed most willing to interact and answered a few questions. The attempt by the captain to give us "tour" information failed miserably. He was not only far away from us, but he was difficult to understand and often faced away from us and talked into the wind. The flyer was informative.
I think I would rather pay a dollar extra up front and be offered a free bottle of water than having to come up with cash while sailing. |

This was our family's first time on a sailing ship. We all had a great time, our girls got to help raise the sails and steer. The crew was very nice & accommodating. |

Lack of wind prevented us from going out of the bay, so we did a big circle, that was plesant enough but had we circled Fort Sumpter with a little histoey lesson, the trip would have been so much better. Just a thought |

A great night-saw a number of dolphins right near the boat.
The captain and crew were very knowledgeable of the area.
I would highly recommend this trip to others |

We had a pleasant time on the Pride. There was only a light breeze, so it wasn't as exhilarating as our schooner sail in Annapolis. Also, although some narration was promised, there wasn't any! The crew answers questions if asked, but the captain had almost no interaction with the passengers. The cruise is advertised as one which gives passengers the chance to help sail the boat, but that didn't happen either. It was very interesting to observe the crew manipulating the sails. If you are already familiar with Charleston harbor and just want to enjoy a nice sail on a schooner, you'd probably enjoy this trip. If, on the other hand, you want landmarks identified and history shared, you'd be better off on one of the other cruises. |

Our group of 12 family members took this cruise as part of the celebration of my daughter's graduation from MUSC. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The ship boarded and left on time. The captain and crew were very friendly. The evening sail was peaceful and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend it. |
