Charleston Schooner Pride LLC

The cruise was great would like to take it agan sometime. Crew was very nice and attentive. When we got back to dock they let us stay on-board to watch fireworks. Kids seemed to enjoy also.

We enjoyed this evening cruise, though it wasn't quite as interesting as we had hoped. We did not go under sail for quite some time into the cruise, and there was no narration at all. It would have been nice to have a few major sites noted such as Ft Sumter, etc. Near the end of the sail, a small canon was fired and the noise was beyond deafening, in fact I did not regain normal hearing until the next day, a very unpleasant end to the evening.

What a fabulous evening. The weather was perfect, the crew very friendly. The captain very knowledgeable about all the sites, if asked. Just a great way to spend your evening after a long day...

The Crew was very accommodating but it would have been nice for someone to point out the landmarks shown on the harbor map that was provided.

My nephew and I volunteered to raise the main sail, then sat back and enjoyed the ride!!! He loved the "hands on" experience. I loved the "relaxing" atmosphere and made me want to go out and by a sailboat.

I enjoyed watching them raise and lower the sails. They were helpful to answer all questions.

We had a great cruise. The two woman crew knew exactly what to do and when to do it. When they were not working the sails or answering questions they were taking drink orders. Sunset was great too!

This was a birthday treat for me and a great time for my family to include my 88 year old Mom. It was close to perfect with the weather absolutely grand and the crew outstanding! I look forward to sharing my experiences with friends. Jeri England

My friend and I have been on this sail about 6 years ago and enjoyed it then. This trip we took are wives and they also enjoyed it very much. They thought it was very relaxing. Would go again.

Noted that the skipper jibed the boat every time a change of direction was dictated. They were all executed very well. Conditions warranted these maneouvers so it was no big deal. Would recommend the sail to friends.

Our group of 6 enjoyed the cruise. It was very relaxing, but not a typical tourist attraction. The crew was happy to discuss points of interest, but only when prompted. I recommend familiarizing yourself with the city first (with carriage rides and walking tours), then take the cruise to get a view of the city from the Pride.

We really enjoyed our ride on the Schooner Pride. The weather was perfect and it was a great day to sail. As others noted, it is not a narrated ride and that is OK. When the crew were asked any questions, they gave detailed answers and pointed out interesting sites. We have 3 children with the oldest being 11. They became a little fidgety towards the end. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The night started off with a ride out into the harbor without the sail. After about 30 min. the captain turned the engine off, the sails were hoisted and we floated through the harbor. The sunset was gorgeous and the staff very friendly. The staff did a great job getting blankets for those people who were cold (and it did get chilly!). The only problems I had was that we returned to the port before the sun was completely set and there were more people on the boat than I thought there would be (which made it loud and took away from the romance of the sunset). However, I would do it again, but just make sure I got a good seat in the middle of the boat.

The Schooner Pride was an awesome boat. The crew was courteous and knowledgable. They would answer any questions asked by the guests. This is not a talking tour. However, I believe they could enhance the experience by pointing out highlights without prompting from the guests. Overall, it was a great experience.
