Wonderful crew and cruise
Sat, Jun 12, 10   7:00 PM pacreticos Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The cruise capped off a wonderful day. The crew was extraordinarily helpful and skilled as the skipper sailed into the mooring - no engine. It was a perfect night for his display of fine seamanship.

The Captain and crew were very informative. The weather was beautiful on the day we went. Be sure to offer to help pull the sails up, it was a fun experience to do that!

Nice venue-very crowded

A nice agenda, but way too crowded to be enjoyable...expected a bit more relaxed setting instead got a crowded oversold boatload

A complete waste of money
Fri, Jun 11, 10   3:00 PM brformanack Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
This excursion was a complete waste of time and money. The crew spent the whole time trying to get the sails up when it was extremely hot and the wind was not existent. They should have recognized the lack of wind and used the motor. On top of the poor boat ride, we saw only two dolphins during the trip. I even heard another father comment that it was a waste of money. Please skip this activity and spend your money on a good meal instead.

Good Experience

Crew very friendly, not much activity on boat as it was a little crowded. Would like to have maybe sailed out a a little more. All in all a very good day.

I really enjoyed the sail across Charleston Harbor. The sail was pleasant and watching the dolphins and birds was breath taking.

A beautiful memorable evening!

I really enjoyed the Schooner Pride! It is a beautiful boat with a friendly crew. I got to steer and raise a sail and took a ton of jealousy-inducing photos of the harbor and of course the handsome boat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone heading to Charleston.

One of the best things about Charleston
Tue, Jun 8, 10   7:00 PM edieoheine Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We felt like we had been transported back in time on the sailing schooner- total quiet, no motors- staff were very interested in talking with us, sharing their love of the sea. A glass of wine, watching the sun set, in a vessel similar to what brought over the first settlers- Life is good.

Enjoyable

The captian had a family emergency, which made us leave about an hour after the specified sail time. Actually, I think this worked out better for us, because it was a little cooler leaving at 4 rather than at 3. Apart from this set-back, the afternoon was enjoyable and relaxing. The crew were very nice and knowledgable. It was a quiet 2-hour sail on the bay.

Sail to Nowhere
Sun, Jun 6, 10   3:00 PM joysails Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Unfortunately, the Pride's Captain had a family emergency and we left 2 hrs. late. I would think they would have a back up for things like this. Also, a free soft drink or something would have been nice as a gesture for the long wait. The crew was very nice and accommodating. We expected a cruise around the Charleston shoreline. Instead it went out to almost to Ft Sumter and back. If you just want to get out on the water...this is the trip for you. If you want to sightsee...not so much.

Wonderful, relaxing

This was our third time on the Pride, but about our 10th or 12th time sailing. Sailing is very relaxing ... it's quiet, peaceful ... something you seldom find in today's hustle and bustle. We did not see dolphins this time, but have on many other trips ... just like the wind which may or may not blow ... it's nature and you can not force nature ... so just relax and enjoy what you DO experience!
