WEereally enjoyed our trip. The Captain and crew were great, and the cost of beverages on board were more than fair. Thanks for making our vacation one to remember. |

We decided on the evening cruise to favor the weather. It was everything we thought it might be and more. When the crew ran up the sails and the skipper turned off the diesel auxiliary engine, the silence was the sound of sailing. We sailed across the harbor toward Fort Sumter, which was our turn around point on the sail. As we turned the sun was just beginning to set. Due to the light breezes we were able to spend a wonderful amount of time watching as the sun dipped slowly in the west. The sky turned beautiful shades of red, yellow and orange. The captain and crew appeared very experienced. They made the trip extremely enjoyable by explaining much of what they were doing. Liquid refreshments were greatly appreciated. We both thought the experience was one to add to a Bucket List and would do this again! |

Fantastic Charleston Harbor Ride

Seeing the Charleston Harbor while under sail is the only way to go. Hearing the wind whip through the sails and NOT hearing the whine of an engine makes for a relaxing tour. The Captain and crew were very hospitable and knowledgeable about the harbor history and Charleston as a whole. As an added bonus we were fortunate to see a dolphin jump several times as we left the dock -- very relaxing, very enjoyable and highly recommend! |

My friends and I enjoyed this tour. Although there was a strong breeze, the sailing was smooth and very relaxing. We enjoyed seeing the various landmarks and learning about some of them from the captain of the Schooner Pride. The sunset was beautiful and it was great to the the lighted bridge at night. Thanks very much! |

Our group of 6 enjoyed the cruise. It was very relaxing, but not a typical tourist attraction. The crew was happy to discuss points of interest, but only when prompted. I recommend familiarizing yourself with the city first (with carriage rides and walking tours), then take the cruise to get a view of the city from the Pride. |

The trip and crew were great. It was nice being able to purchase wine/beer/soda but it would be very nice if there were some type of light appetizers / Hor' Durves served. We would be willing to pay a bit more if something like this was available. |

My husband and I were on a vacation to specially to relax and de-stress. My husband loves the water and sailing but we have little opportunity to do this. We thoroughly enjoyed this sail. The captain and crew were very friendly and pleasant and very knowledgeable about the boat and the area. It was not a narracted tour but if there were questions, they could and did answer all of them. Mostly it was for relaxation and it was wonderful. Just what we needed!! |

I would highly recommend this to anyone that is out with a group of couples or with their signifcant other. Try the sunset cruise and plan ahead when scheduling in order to make sure you pick a night with clear skies because the sunset is amazing. Also, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins becase we were able to see them jumping straight out of the water, playing and showing off, which was very cool since the only other time we had ever seen anything like that was at a zoo. |

Sweet sail on the lovely harbor. Charleston is a very charming city, and it was nice to cap our visit off with a sail. Informative crew. As a bird lover I enjoyed the white ibis overhead and the diving terns. |

The sail itself was wonderful. The 6 pm sail was the perfect time of day. The only thing that I felt would have made it much better was a little explanation along the way.
Although questions were answered as they were asked, something more of a tour guide type person or the captain explaining things would make it that much more entertaining. |

Great views in a very relaxed setting. Under sail makes for a more romantic experience as you don't have to hear the growl of engines as you watch the sunset on the harbor. Highly recommended. |

The sail was a lot of fun and quite scenic. Charleston Harbor and the city skyline are lovely, and the sunset was a nice finale. I wish someone warned us about the skeeters, though. While walking to the ship, we were literally attacked by dozens of the ornery little blood suckers. Once the ship started moving, it wasn't an issue, but we spent much of the two hours trying hard not to scratch the huge welts. Bring spray and wear long sleeves and pants! And bring your camera... |
