| If you simply want to chill out & take in the beauty that is Charleston and its harbour, the Schooner Pride is the zen ticket. This is the 2nd time I had the pleasure of cruising on the ship...the 1st was with my mom in 2005 & the experience once again did not disappoint. The crew is friendly, professional, knowledgeable & laid-back, which makes the experience quite different than some of the more commercial elements of Charleston. No "blah-blah-blah" (not that there is anything wrong with that, if that's what you like). Just the simple splendor of the great outdoors & fine folk who are there to help you enjoy. As we glided across the Charleston Harbour, it was pure bliss...much like living in this charming city, enjoying what it has to offer, but having someone do the "heavy lifitng" for you. My traveling companion/BFF has some problems with sea sickness & I booked the cruise hoping she would enjoy -- she took an over-the-counter drug...and was in HEAVEN. I have taken the day cruise both times. When I travel to Charleston next, the sunset cruise is DEFINITELY on the agenda. I felt badly for the folks who were on the big ferry boats we saw as we traversed the harbor--we were experiencing the REAL DEAL. Sighhhhh. TRY THIS. It's lovely. NOTE: It's a serious hike from Market Street to the ship's location between the Aquarium & the IMAX Theater, so plan ahead and book a pedi-cab. FUn from beginning to end. Ahoy, mates! | ||||||

| This sunset cruise was the perfect evening adventure. It felt very relaxing, refreshing and romantic. We saw dolphins swimming, felt the fresh breeze, and enjoyed the crew. When I return to Charleston I will sign up again. Take your camera. | ||||||

| the ride was pretty neat - we had a good time. the only complaint would be the guy serving drinks only came to us once and never returned my change (I had to go up to him and ask for it back). very relaxing, though and different | ||||||

| In 32 years of going to Charleston almost annually, we have been on many, many harbor tours, but never a sailboat adventure. So, we decided to do something different this year. Boy, were we ever happy to have made that decision. The day was perfect, the boat was great, the crew and captain were friendly, knowledgeable and informative. There is no doubt in my mind that the next time we go to Charleston, we will do this again. Hands down, it beat any other harbor experience we have ever had. | ||||||

| As my family lives in Charleston, I have been there many times; however, this was my first schooner cruise there. It was wonderful. The time on water was lovely. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. They kindly waited for a couple who were running late (but did not arrive) and then added those fifteen minutes onto the cruise. | ||||||

| We had a great time! The crew and ship were very helpful, knowledgable, and fun. The sunset cruise was the perfect time, with the views, dolphins, and the sunset. There was minimal wind, so the cruise slow and comfortable. We'll recommend the Pride to all of our friends heading to Charleston. Jeanette & Rick | ||||||

sunset on the "Pride"

| My wife and me were treated to an evening tour on the Sail boat "Pride". the boat itself is most impressive and the Captain and crew were gracious hosts. the closeness of the passengers and crew created a very friendly atmosphere which made the ride very enjoyable. the crew was very attentive to the needs of the passengers and the Captain was open to questions or just chit chat and displays a good sense of humor as well. this cruise is NOT for everyone,,if you do not like a beautiful sunset, the cool evening breeze, the beauty of the open water, the smell of the salt air, polite conversation with new aquaintences and being on a beautiful sail boat with a great Captain and crew, then you may not like the trip BUT, if you do like those things, you will find this cruise most relaxing and memorable. I thank the entire crew for a great time on the Charleston harbor. sincerely Frank Navy | ||||||

| I have been on other sails similar to this one in other locations (Cape Cod, MA), and this sail compares very favorably with the others. The crew was very friendly and helpful. They were willing to answer all our questions. The sail itself was wonderful. We enjoyed pelicans diving for food in Charleston harbor as well as a few dolphins surfacing near the boat. In addition, the trip out towards Ft. Sumter was very relaxing and enjoyable, and the sunset was fantastic. It was well worth the price. | ||||||

| The sail was wonderful! The deckhands and Captain were fabulous. The cruise was well worth the ticket price and the scenery was breathtaking. The captain was kind and friendly toward all the children, allowing them a turn at the wheel. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice afternoon in Charleston. | ||||||

| My husband and I went on this sail when we were staying in Charleston for a long weekend. The crew was very polite, knowledgeable and had energy to spare. They answered all questions and even came up with stories of past sailings to entertain us. I would recommend anyone going on this cruise. It is a bargain for the money. | ||||||
