Relaxing & Beautiful

| I would highly recommend this to anyone that is out with a group of couples or with their signifcant other. Try the sunset cruise and plan ahead when scheduling in order to make sure you pick a night with clear skies because the sunset is amazing. Also, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins becase we were able to see them jumping straight out of the water, playing and showing off, which was very cool since the only other time we had ever seen anything like that was at a zoo. | ||||||

| We liked the boat, it was clean and we felt safe. The crew was friendly and provided intersting information about the place we were visiting. We were relaxed and got to see some dolphins! | ||||||

| This is the 2nd time I've been onboard the Pride and the first time for my wife. We had a wonderful cruise around the harbor. We'll do this again I'm sure. | ||||||

| This sail was probably not the best choice for my husband and myself. We probably should have chosen a narrated tour, since this was our first time to Charleston. Although the crew was very knowledgeable, we felt as though we were asking too many questions as to what we were seeing. | ||||||

| While the captain made it clear it was not a narrated tour, we expected some information about some landmark and charleston history. The captain barely spoke for 2-3 minutes, seemed really rude when answering questions asked and was uninterested. The couple of helpers were very polite. Waste of time. | ||||||

| If you simply want to chill out & take in the beauty that is Charleston and its harbour, the Schooner Pride is the zen ticket. This is the 2nd time I had the pleasure of cruising on the ship...the 1st was with my mom in 2005 & the experience once again did not disappoint. The crew is friendly, professional, knowledgeable & laid-back, which makes the experience quite different than some of the more commercial elements of Charleston. No "blah-blah-blah" (not that there is anything wrong with that, if that's what you like). Just the simple splendor of the great outdoors & fine folk who are there to help you enjoy. As we glided across the Charleston Harbour, it was pure bliss...much like living in this charming city, enjoying what it has to offer, but having someone do the "heavy lifitng" for you. My traveling companion/BFF has some problems with sea sickness & I booked the cruise hoping she would enjoy -- she took an over-the-counter drug...and was in HEAVEN. I have taken the day cruise both times. When I travel to Charleston next, the sunset cruise is DEFINITELY on the agenda. I felt badly for the folks who were on the big ferry boats we saw as we traversed the harbor--we were experiencing the REAL DEAL. Sighhhhh. TRY THIS. It's lovely. NOTE: It's a serious hike from Market Street to the ship's location between the Aquarium & the IMAX Theater, so plan ahead and book a pedi-cab. FUn from beginning to end. Ahoy, mates! | ||||||

| Cruise started 20 mins. late waiting for one couple after being told we MUST be there early..very annoying! Cruise itself was very nice, but would be much enhanced by at least some narritive about what we were seeing. Also, some cushions and/or blankets would help since the only place to sit was on hard wooden hatch covers. | ||||||

| Beautiful ship, great sail, crew was nice and courteous. It was nice just sitting back and enjoying the view of the harbor. The weather was great and the dolphins were playful. One came within a foot or so of the ship. An all around great time. | ||||||

| As a family that has never been on a sail boat before we enjoyed it. We would have liked a bit of local sight seeing descriptions, but overall it was very enjoyable. We are glad that we did it on our recent trip. | ||||||

| My husband and I booked the sunset cruise while on our vacation in Charleston. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and will definately book again on our next trip. The boat was beautiful and very well maintained, and the crew were fabulous. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I have to say that this was probably the most relaxing thing we did on our entire vacation. Thanks so much!! | ||||||

| I highly recommend this activity. The boat wasn't at fully capacity, so we had plenty of room to stretch out. The crew was very nice and were locals, so they knew the area well. This is not a guided tour, but whenever the crew is not actually working the boat, they are willing to talk about the area from history to dining recommendations. I wish there had been more wind as we motored for about a third of the trip, but that is certainly not the Pride's fault! Make sure to bring a jacket, as it can get chilly on the bay. | ||||||

| This was a great experience for anyone who has not been on a boat tour. The group was small so you could enjoy the experience. The weather and water were both perfect, so the sunset was amazing! I would choose the sunset cruise over the day time cruise. The crew of three were very nice and attentive, serving drinks and snacks, when they were not busy sailing :) The only improvement I would suggest, would be perhaps a bit of narration or history/information about the area or things of interest while out on the water, or even some light music. My companion was worried upon arrival about being sea-sick, but had no problems whatsoever, as the water was very calm. Not something you would do over and over again, but for a nice change or special treat, definetely worth the money! | ||||||
