Sail with Captain Laura Lohse aboard the 65' schooner Serenity. Explore the Middle Peninsula's River Country as you sail the waters of the Rappahannnock River on this traditional schooner.
Serenity has been sailing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay since the spring of 2000 when Greg and Laura Lohse purchased her and brought her to Cape Charles on VA's Eastern Shore. There she was lovingly restored after being neglected for years. The Lohse's started their daysail business in Cape Charles and have recently moved to Urbanna to continue offering daysails that explore the waters of the Rappahannock River.

Enjoy magnificent views of the quaint village of Urbanna while exploring the waters of one of America's most historic rivers. Unwind and come on board the Serenity for a peaceful experience that you won't soon forget!
On this sail you will:
- View various species of river wildlife, such as osprey, herons, and dolphins
- Wave to fisherman as they work and cruise along the Rappahannock
- See historic homes on shore and other boats as we sail the waters
- Discover the beauty of River Country while relaxing on the 65' gaff topsail Schooner Serenity
As one of the smallest and oldest towns in the country, Urbanna is steeped in rich American history. Home to Virginia's official oyster festival, this tidewater town is the perfect destination for an off-the-beaten path adventure.
Please keep in mind that while our trips are relaxing cruises on the river and not narrated tours, you are always welcome to ask the captain and crew any questions about what you are seeing.
Lend a hand at setting sail or just listen to the sound of the wind as we glide along under a cloud of canvas.
