It was very nice. The wind could have cooperated more and been a bit more gusty. However, it was very relaxing and the views outstanding thanks to blue skies and clear, sunny weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two hour afternoon sail on the Schooner Aliance. It was a beautiful day and very enjoyable and relaxing. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable about the area we were sailing in and pointed out items of interest. They were also very happy to explain the ins and outs of sailing a ship as much as one wanted to learn. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun couple of hours!

Disappointment

We assumed that the sailing trip would include sights of the bay. We only went to the mouth of the bay and no sights were seen. There was no wind. One of the staff stated we went further than if we had been sailing since we did not have to "tack" back and forth with the wind. We thought we were going under the bridge in that direction but instead went close to the mouth of the bay. The staff were nice and courteous and answered questions. It was just not what we expected. However, it was a beautiful day and was nice to be out on the water.

Very hot day and not too exciting a trip

Our group of 10 had a fun time chatting, but it was rather hot and not too exciting a time. The crew was too anxious to sell drinks and didn't give out any information unless asked .

This was a special day for my husband and I. We decided to take a Cruise for our 40th anniversary...a 2 hour trip on the beautiful York River was just what we wanted! The Captain and crew were most pleasant and helpful. I happened to be in a wheel chair (broken leg) and they were very accomodation. They went out of their way to make it easy for me and my husband and good friend. I have grown up on the river but not in it or on it in quite sometime, so I completely enjoyed watching the water movement and the porpoises that put on a show for us We will do it again when my friend's husband is here and encourage many to take atvantage of that time to relax. and enjoy the water and the sights. Thanks for a wonderful day.

Wish more information was given on the areas we were sailing by. There was a lot of none talk. Example what is "little England" area. Maybe we should have asked more - but most of the tours do give more information . Was a lovely boat and great to be on the water.

I booked the sailing trip for my husband and I and out of town guests. Our guests were old college friends and one couple had owned a large sail boat at one time. Everyone thought the whole experience was great!! One of my guests walks with a cane and I was very impressed when we got to the schooner that the crew had been alerted to allow her to board first. The crew was personable, fun and efficient. I will certainly recommend this sailing experience to everyone I know. It's a great way to relax and enjoy the water. Nancy Gurtis Poquoson, VA

We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather the breezy Sunday afternoon we took the trip and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon on the water. It was fun to watch a real sailing vessel in action. The crew was friendly and knew a lot about the local area.
