The crew was helpful and very friendly. The trip was for an adequate amount of time. The vessel's facilities were clean and the meal provided was good. I would jighly recommend this tour to anyone interested. |

I am a recreational sailor and have owned sailboats in past so I understand how a good sail experience is totally dependent on what that the weather is doing. The day we sailed on Yorktown River was about perfect for summer sailing 74 degrees and nice wind.
The captain and crew taught all of us about tall ship sailing. Food for the grandkids was $3 hotdogs, their preference.
We would do it again with that kind of weather. |

It was just too hot the day we went: heat index 109 degrees and no wind. Other than that it was a nice trip. The crew was very friendly and accomodating (and cute)! |

The day of our trip was extremely hot. There was a bus of residents from an assisted living facility. Many of them were in wheelchairs or had walkers and could not get up the ramp without a lot of help, and there aren't proper seats on the boat. I was a bit worried that someone was going to have a problem.
Other than that, the trip was enjoyable. |

A beautiful schooner, a helpful and pleasant crew--and perfect weather ( we were so lucky ! ) made this special treat for us and our visiting family ( from West. Penn.) a wonderful adventure ! Thanks to all involved there. |

We had a wonderful two hour sail on the ALLIANCE. Greg, the captain was very friendly and answered any questions. There were not that many other people aboard so there was plenty of room to move around. The crew did an excellent job. We hope to sail again on the ALLIANCE the next time we are in the area. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. |

My granddaughter and I loved our sail on the York river. We especially enjoyed spotting the Dolphins that seemed to be following us down the river. As we sailed my granddaughter videoed the dolphins jumping out of the water. The crew was friendly and informative about the area and also about the history of the area. We certainly would choose this sail again. |

Plans for evening sunset cruise were canceled by company due to weather. We were told to reschedule. Since we were on vacation as most people do, had plans for most of time rest of vacation. We rescheduled evening cruise to a daytime cruise which fit into our schedule and it was $5 per person cheaper. Traveling with 6 people meant we spent $30 more for the sunset cruise. When we arrived I asked if we were at least able to receive an "onboard credit" towards chips or water, we were told by LISA- NO CREDIT or REFUNDS you can go another night!! How rude. We were on vacation and had other plans, as it turned out the cruise that same night was canceled AGAIN due to weather and we left the next day.!!
THE TRIP WAS BORING!! We barely went anywhere, the dock was never out of sight, got to see the Coast Guard station and some houses at a far distance-spent time "sailing" or standing still. Look elsewhere before you do this. The boat was very nice to look at, the two young ship mates were as friendly as they could be, but no music, nothing, not even a water bottle, BORING! Not worth the two hours out of your vacation. |
