Yorktown Sightseeing Day Sails

Very pleasant experience. A little warm our day (July 8th) that day but that is mother nature. I would have liked the captain to have been a little more talkative. He seemed to be pretty knowledgeable but little to say unless spolen to.

Had a great time the crew was pleasant and entertaining. Would definitely go again and participate in the sail raising. They made you feel safe and relaxed after we got under the bridge. Captain was skillful and overall a great experience.

We had a wonderful time on our cruise. From the moment we were greeted at the gangplank until we were wished well as we left the crew was helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. All of the many questions asked were answered with knowledge and respect for the questioner. The friendly atmosphere left us wishing for a longer time spent on the Alliance.

I had a wonderful experience!

The ship was great, we had a great time even though it was misting and chilly. We liked the facted that it was small and was not over crowded. Crew was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the ship and could answer any questions that we had. We really enjoyed it!!!

Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and surroundings and entertaining. I would recommend to others visiting the area.

I enjoyed the trip. We encountered a storm, but this made the trip more adventuresome. Thanks for the history, the experience and the solitude of the lapping waters.

pleasant adventure i would go again

Plans for evening sunset cruise were canceled by company due to weather. We were told to reschedule. Since we were on vacation as most people do, had plans for most of time rest of vacation. We rescheduled evening cruise to a daytime cruise which fit into our schedule and it was $5 per person cheaper. Traveling with 6 people meant we spent $30 more for the sunset cruise. When we arrived I asked if we were at least able to receive an "onboard credit" towards chips or water, we were told by LISA- NO CREDIT or REFUNDS you can go another night!! How rude. We were on vacation and had other plans, as it turned out the cruise that same night was canceled AGAIN due to weather and we left the next day.!! THE TRIP WAS BORING!! We barely went anywhere, the dock was never out of sight, got to see the Coast Guard station and some houses at a far distance-spent time "sailing" or standing still. Look elsewhere before you do this. The boat was very nice to look at, the two young ship mates were as friendly as they could be, but no music, nothing, not even a water bottle, BORING! Not worth the two hours out of your vacation.

Captain Greg and his crew were fantastic! Hope to go again without the kids on the sunset cruise.
