We recently took this 2 hour charter, having wanted to do it for several years. I made reservations the night before and we arrived about 15 minutes before departure. Having 2 children with Autism, we weren't sure how they would do on a schooner boat but it went great. The crew was wonderful and got both of them involved with raising the sails. They provided snacks after getting out of port and offered free cups of water if requested. It was a wonderful experience!

The trip was fine. It would have been nicer if there had been some wind. The crew was friendly and helpful. They answered questions about the area, history, sailing, and the boat.

This was the highlight of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration. Sara (one of the crew) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. One day we'll come back and do the sunset sail.

We had always wanted to take the 2 hour trip, but never seemed to find the time. We finally found the time with one of our grandchildren (22 yrs.old) and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - the time passed too quickly! We will certainly be taking more trips in the future.

Outstanding event you want to experience.

This was the final event of our trip before going back home. It was definitely a highlight and we strongly recommend adding it to your itinerary. The scenery was outstanding and Captain Greg is a true historian who educated all of us. We even had a chance to steer the large ship and got some great photos to document the experience. When we return to Virginia, it will be on the top of our list to schedule again. Thanks to everyone for making this experience unforgetable.

Grandmother and Granddaughter Adventure

My 5 year-old Granddaughter and I saw the Alliance on the York River on our way to the Yorktown Victory Center. We knew immediately we had to set sail on that tall ship. It was a wonderful adventure. We had a windy day and being on that ship with the captain and crew was something to remember. She got to assist the captain in steering which was a memory to be retold countless times. Watching the crew hoist the sails was a sight to behold and we had the time of our lives. I would recommend it to everyone.
