The captain and crew were top notch. I have sailed in many places and the crew on our tour were well informed and eager to answer any of our questions. I highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a trip to the area.

Disappointed

It was a beautiful Fall Day, had waitted for several months for the trip. Then we were over run by unrully, unattended small screaming children. Several people thought they would fall over board. They day was a waste of money and time.

The crew was very knowledgable and friendly. It was a little chilly on the water, but a great experience. I recommend it whole-heartedly!

My husband and I booked our sail about 4 days in advance in order to scope out the weather. The day of our sail was sunny with a light breeze...perfect sailing weather. On arriving at the dock, we found out that although the previous days sailings were sell outs, we were the ONLY 2 people on ours. The captain informed us that he didn't usually sail with only 2 people, he would be willing to take us if we didn't mind if they performed a safety drill while under sail. We agreed and were given a great 2 hour cruise with the drill taking less than ten minutes. We were able to see the sights, get some history from the first mate and participate in raising the sails. We took lots of photos and there were no "unknown tourists" in any of them!

The sailing trip was interesting and peaceful. The only drawback was the uncomfortable seating. If you have back problems, you might want to bring a cushion or stadium seat (no chairs, there's nowhere to put one). The crew was very pleasant and made the voyage fun.

I was very impressed with our trip on the Alliance. I took my father and my son, and we all loved it. My three year old was a little scared at first, but the high-quality staff put him at ease. If we are in the area again, I'm sure we'd consider another trip out there.
