The crew was great and experienced. There was very little wind, so it wasn't much of a sailing date. The lunch was fine. There was no sound system, so you couldn't hear much, or maybe that was due to the young 18 month old that screamed the whole time. You are very limited on your movement around the sailboat, and others took our original seat when we volunteered to hoist the sails, so we lost the shaded area. The actual ship was a nice smooth ride, but honestly did not go far, in fact, we could still see the Coleman bridge. It was a quick adventure, but it would have been better with wind, and no screaming/crying child. For a nice outing, I would recommend it. Reasonably priced and a nice afternoon of seeing Yorktown from the water. I am glad that Yorktown does have something to offer for customers. Again, under different circumstances our adventure could have been better. |

I highly recommend the Alliance Sailing Cruise on the York River. The crew is very friendly, get you involved as much as you want to be, and the scenic cruise is well worth the price. |

We had such a great time sailing on the Alliance! The crew was knowledgeable and friendly and let my daughter help pull up the sails. The ride was smooth, like the expression "smooth sailing"! Relaxing trip! |

This is a great way to spend a few hours on the river. The crew was enthusiastic and willing to answer questions. We were allowed to help with the rigging and raising of the sails. The crew was experienced and handled the ship very smoothly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely join the Alliance for another sail in the future. |

We are Grandparents and took our 10 yr. old Granddaughter on the sail. It was an
excellent experience, the crew was knowledgable, very friendly and answered everyone's questions. |
