We had done this before and loved it so on our 50th wedding anniversary we were joined by our children and their families and a few friends, 22 of us. Everyone thought it was terrific. The Captain is extremely knowledgeable and informative. He gives you enough information to be enlightening without talking the whole time. His sailing skills are exemplary. We would definitely do it over and over again. |

We drove down from the DC area to take our grandson out on the afternoon sail. It was just the right length of time for a 9 yr-old boy's attention span. The crew was friendly and encouraged participation with hoisting and lowering the sails. Light refreshments available and appreciated on a warm day, |

My young daughters and I were on vacation and went on the 2 pm cruise. We had a great afternoon! It was a nice trip down river and the crew was very nice and explained everything they were doing. Both girls enjoyed listening and watching the sails go up and down and learing about the schooner. It was a great introduction to sailing for them. THANKS we had wonderful time. |

This was our second trip on the Alliance. Both days we made reservations a couple of days out when we knew it would be nice weather. The captain and crew made the trip interesting, even getting kids involved in hoisting the sails. Plenty of places to sit on the ship, and a galley with snacks. Zerve made reserving very easy. Did everything on my smartphone. No need to print an eticket; just follow the directions to get your code. Happy sailing! |

My senior parents, myself, and my 12 yr old all went and had a good time. My son help raise the sails and talk to people. |

It was a very enjoyable 2 hours.....very calm and quiet...maybe too quiet for our very lively grandsons.....I was unaware that there was real food and just not snacks on the boat and thought that the only real food available was in the box lunch....The boys would have been very happy with a hot dog..a good trip but.a bit $$$.....Fine crew...very pleasant... |
