Sunset cruise was so relaxing and romantic...........peaceful, friendly and educating crew ~ they explained the difference between a schooner and a sail boat. Several other "sailers" helped to raise the sails. They also had the least expensive beer we had on our vacation!! Would recommend this for couples ~ maybe the earlier day cruises for families. We would definitely make this part of our vacation if we visit the area again!

We enjoyed the sunset. The cruise focused more on sailing and all aspects of the sailboat. We expected a little more description of the sights along the York River and maybe a brief history of the area. The seating was a little crowded and awkward. Also, it was advertised a romantic sunset cruise: there were lots of school children aboard.

We cannot think of one element of the evening that could have been better. We especially enjoyed learning about the ship and sailing from Sarah and Matt.

We loved the boat excursion. Captain and crew were very friendly and informative. Met and had a great time with some other "boat people". I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you've never sailed before - as I have not either. Only recommendation would be to have a few folding type seats available for senior citizens or people who might not be able to sit on a hatch; as space permits. It was a beautiful evening!

I used to sail in the Chesapeake Bay. And I've missed it so much. So this was a great opportunity to experience it once again. I was on the Sunset Cruise and to see the golden light playing on the waves and hear the waves smacking against the hull made me realize that I had not been exaggerating the pleasure in my memories. The crew was great. Sailing back into Yorktown with all the shop lights on was so pretty and then we had the firing of the cannon! What fun. I wonder if you could try some sort of package deal with the motel there -- just as an experiment. I drove down from Richmond and drove back and if there had been something affordable right there, I would have enjoyed a pleasant dinner at the Riverside Cafe and then a leisurely morning before leaving the next day. I can't imagine that the other cruises could be as good as the Sunset but I may come and try one of them anyway after the leaves start to change. Thank you again for one of the best days in a long time. Sondra Thomas
