Yorktown Romantic Sunset Sails

Sadly our trip was canceled due to weather. We understnad and appreciate that safety is a major factor!! We hope we can reschedule and give a full review!!

I made my reservations online the day of the tour with no problem. There was a nice crowd for the cruise. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and added spice to the event! They engaged as many people as wanted to in the sailing activities, and provided lots of information about the schooner and the area. We weren't lucky enough to have much wind, so the motor really took care of our trip, and it may have been a little shorter distance because of it, but that was fine - we knew the possibilities. We went both directions on the river. We ended up knowing some of the other people on the ride, so that added even more fun, but everyone was friendly and talkative. And the sunset was timed perfectly! Definitely worth it!

We chose the sunset sail since this was during July and the temperatures during the day have been in the 90+ range. We figured that the evening cruise would be cooler than morning or afternoon cruises. We had a wonderful time!! The crew were awesome and personable. They were willing to answer questions that anyone had and were able to point out landmarks. It was really neat that some of the passengers were able to help with the hoisting of the sails. The only suggestion that we would have is you might want to bring a cushion of sorts as the seating on the boat (in the main area) are on life jacket boxes and so forth. Other than that, it was a wonderful cruise and we will definately sail again in the future. The sights of the sunset made for some pretty awesome photos. The cruise itself was very smooth and enjoyable!

My boyfriend and I took the sunset cruise & it was the best part of our vacation in Virginia. The crew was knowledgable & friendly. We would definitly recommend this cruise to anyone.

My family really enjoyed the sunset cruise and got the best pictures of our whole vacation on this cruise. The crew was absolutely wonderful. Not only were they attentive and safety conscious, but they were quite funny and very entertaining. Even for a family of 6, it was worth every penny. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed a wonderful cruise with my visiting parents from Florida. This was one activity that my husband I were hoping would be enjoyable for everyone, and we were so pleased with how everything went. The weather was perfect for our sunset cruise. The crew were entertaining, and skilled. There were young children on our cruise, and the crew kept them entertained too. We were rewarded with beautiful skies during the sunset, and a great breeze. So relaxing, we didn't want it to end.

The schooner staff were well informed and lots of fun. The boat trip was just the right amount of time to see the sights and to enjoy the ride. The sunset cruise also provided a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area and the night sky. We will repeat this activity when we are in the area again!

My husband and I really enjoyed this. Only wish it was longer
