Schooners Alliance & Serenity

My group was comprised of 5 adult women on vacation. We had a marvelous time. The captain & crew were professional, interesting and most important, very personable. Loved it!

This was a first activity for us. It was so different and fun to do. The captain and crew were friendly and gave a great history review. There offer a few snacks and a pretty good hot dog for a decent price.

The crew was entertaining and informative. They let us get involved with raising the sails. They spent half the sail pointing out landmarks and relating a lot of history of them and the area. They let us walk around boat and visited with us and answered all questions. Highly recommend.

We all enjoyed the sailing ride! Just wish it had been warmer!! Really chilly!! It was very interesting to us to hear about all the history of the area!! We would definitely recommend this activity to our friends!!

Went April 27, so if you go at this time dress warm!! Our crew was super great!! Very friendly and helpful. People are ask to participate if they want to, but not forced! You laugh a lot and meet great people from all over the US. We loved it!!! Sorry to say there were clouds, so the sunset wasn't as pretty as we had hoped, but who can control Mother Nature. We had a really great time!

Professional and fun crew - allows you to help as much as you want. Entertaining dialogue on Yorktown history and the sites that can be seen form the water. Make sure they fire the cannon and be sure to dress warmly as it does get cold on the water.

We had a blast. It was a bit nippy out and it took a little while for me to warm up but all in all, we had a lot of fun. We plan to come again in the summer when it's a bit warmer. The crew is very friendly and entertaining. I wasn't expecting to learn about the history of Yorktown like i did! All around great adventure.

This is a wonderful tour for all ages. The crew is pleasant and very informational.

I was extremely unhappy with this. We arrived on our scheduled confirmed time and date and the boat never showed up. Talked with the Dockmaster there in Yorktown and he stated the boat had not been there for several days. WHAT A RIP OFF Will be calling to try to get my money back. They did not have the decenancy to let us know of any cancellations. Would not recommend this activity to anyone.

We really enjoyed sailing on the Alliance! We highly recommend this trip to everyone. The crew was extremely friendly and very knowledgable about the area. It's was hands-on experience as well. They let my husband help raise the sails! There were many great photo opportunities. York river is really beautiful - especially at sunset.

Having never been on a boat this size, was not sure if I would be a good sailor. However the water was calm and the crew kept our minds off of the movement by telling us history of the river and the landmarks along side the river. Some of the passengers were even allowed to help hoist the sails. I would thoroughly recommend this cruise for everyone who wants to ride a boat. It was the best part of my vacation. Thanks for providing this experience.

We had a wonderful sail, very relaxing! Capt Greg and crew very skilled in sailing and friendly. We all got to help raise the sails. Overall a great time and highly recommended!
