Memorable night on the water

The crew and captain were warm and friendly. The cruise was relaxing and educational. We discussed local history with the crew who were very well versed on the role of local boats and citizens during the Battle of Yorktown. Our car club makes an annual trip to Williamsburg and by unanimous decision, will include the Alliance sunset cruise on our wish list. Rick Gondeck Bel Air Corvette Club Bel Air, Maryland

We live in the area but thought it would be nice to take the boat out of Yorktown. The sail was beautiful and relaxed. We enjoyed it a lot.

TAKE A BREAK FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LIFE

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our sail last week. The weather was perfect, the wind great, but not too great, the sun was warm and the guests were cordial. We met and spoke at length with a couple from Ohio, a woman from Wisconsin and another from Pennsylvania. Laura, the captain, was most informative and managed to patiently answer our landlubber questions which, I'm sure, she has heard a thousand times. There was an air of friendliness among the crew which spilled over onto the passengers who all seemed to have a good time. Take this cruise if you want to get out on the open water and just escape from modern pressures. I know of no better way to unwind and thoroughly relax without taking any drugs. Keep Sailing, Aliance!

We had an absolutely wonderful experiance on the sunset sail. The crew really went out of their way to make all feel welcome and enjoy the cruise. We enjoyed the several conversations with the crew and were delited at how involved or not involved they allowed for. We helped to set the sails and sat back for wonderful conversation and peaceful evening on the water. The crew offered plenty of information and shared their experiance and know how about the ship. We would certainly recomend this excursion to anyone and plan on doing it again our selves on our next visit. The Alliance and her crew Rocks!

The whole crew from the Captain on down was very helpful and nice to us. The cruise was just long enough and we enjoyed our afternoon very much. We've never been sailing before so it was a great experience.

I'm a sucker for a sailboat,as is my girlfriend. But this was an awesome experience. The only complaint was that it was too short!

A great way to celebrate an anniversary!

We decided on this venture, at the last minute, after a recommendation from our daughter who works nearby. So we made the two hour drive and enjoyed it immensely! It was our 29th wedding anniversary and we both grew up near the ocean and on the bay. We enjoyed a glass of wine together and totally enjoyed the sailing experience and the smell of the salty water! This was a great price for a great little get-away!

Beautiful boat and cruise but too many kids

We enjoyed the cruise although most of it was motor driven due to not enough wind. Maybe we should have taken the sunset cruise and there won't be as many screaming kids. Personally I don't think they should allow children under 10 to come onboard. We were hoping for a nice quiet time which was not the case.

Nice sail for young children

My 4-year-old grandson enjoyed himself, but the experience wasn't hugely exciting. He, and I, were ready to be off the boat well before the end of the trip. We were never out of sight of where we boarded and their wasn't much to see. The crew was very attentive and there was the opportunity to help hoist the sail...the high point of the two hours, that and the trip to the head in the belly of the boat. I wouldn't say it was worth $30 or $18 for kids, but it was an experience that will be remembered fondly in photographs. I think a ride in a fast boat would be more the kind of thing children would like.
