The view was gorgeous from the ship and the sunset over the water was breathtaking. A great idea for a special date with your spouse. |

After waiting a year, we were finally able to get back to Yorktown and take this sunset sail. It was a perfect evening and met all of our expectations. I was especially pleased with Zerve....I had called and reserved the tickets just a couple of days before. They provided great service....an immediate email with our tickets! |

The boat was great and so was the staff. My only complaint is that there was no comfortable seating. We sat on life jacket cabinets. There were no cushions, no backs. Not so bad for me, but my 85 years old father was very, very uncomfortable. |

My second trip. The crew were very knowledgable and friendly. The young lady was very patient with an 8 year olgirl who had many questions. Hopefully, your trip up-river was uneventful and the sails remained on the schooner. |

My husband, son and myself were looking forward to some downtime after spending several days at other area attractions. This was the perfect way to spend a beautiful and hot August day. Captain Greg and his crew, Reid and Devon, made it informative to those of us who never sailed before and SUPER relaxing. We got a prime camera shot of my son at the helm of the ship, which he took with him on his first day back to school. I wasn't sure how much he enjoyed the ride since it was a relaxing 2 hours long. After all, he is 9 years old and that's a long time for an active boy. He shared with me that when he was asked to write a short essay about what he did this summer that he wrote about his time aboard the ship and drew pictures of the jellyfish and crabs he saw at the dock. How's that for an endorsement? |

I desired to purchase a ticket for a Wednesday 11AM ride but accidently bought for August 25 instead of August 24. The e-mail reservation notice sent after purchase stated that this transaction was non-refundable with no changes permitted...so that was $$ wasted. I did not ride and likely will not try a second time with this kind of ticket purchase policy. |

When we first arrived for our trip, the waters were choppy in and around the dock and the Alliance; this caused some concern since we had our parents (75+ years old) along with us. We were assured by the crew that the sailing would be smooth once we were under way. The trip was wonderful..smooth sailing, great weather, friendly Captain and crew. We were even treated to a bonus of seeing 2 navy warships (Destroyer and Cruiser) depart from the nearby base. What an awesome sight!
Thank you to Captain Greg and Alliance crew for a wonderful experience! We will certainly recommend this trip to others. Jim & Denise Britton, Harrisburg, PA |

Having lived in the area for 20 years.. I normally stay away from tourist type activities- I was so wrong! This cruise is great for tourists and locals alike... The crew was top notch... Knowledgeable about local history and kept everyone engaged. The cruise was well worth the price... We went a few days before a hurricane hit.. And the wind and waves were up but the cruise smooth and exciting. We even were able to help hoist the sails! Thank you so much and I look forward to cruising again! |

The crew was friendly, the ride was peaceful and scenic, and to top it off dolphins frolicked around the boat once we were out into the water! Just a marvelous experience! |

Our children loved visiting the ships of the colonial era that were at the Jamestown Settlement, so as a surprise adventure during our vacation we booked the trip on the Sunset Schooner Sail. It was a wonderful evening with very friendly staff/deck hands and passengers on board. The children and my husband had a great time when asked to help raise the sails on the vessel! Additionallly, we were blessed with the performance of several dolphin swimming alongside the boat. The staff provided an informative narrative of the local area that we were passing along the shores and just as the sun was setting, we arrived back to the dock. It was a very fun evening outing very appropriate for families or the romantic couple! |

The sunset cruise is really nice. would be better with live music. If you can incorporate a couple of drinks along with the rates of the tickets, it would be a good deal |
