The weather was perfect, the crew was wonderful and the price was just right. Hope to do it again on our next vacation to Virginia.

I went with my daughter and had a wonderful time - the crew was friendly with lots of educational tibits about the schooner and the surrounding area of the York River. The highlight for me was seeing the dolphins. My daughter just recently moved to Suffolk, VA and I plan on coming up again with other family members. We already decided this will always be part of our day excursions. Highly recommend.

The ship was wonderful and the crew were very personable. It was a smooth blissful ride with an amazing sunset. Most importantly my girlfriend loved it.
Disappointed Yorktown Sightseeing Day Sails

We were disappointed the schooner didn't get out of sight of the dock. Had expected with two hours we would have seen more than we could see from the shore. Also, had wanted to really experience sailing for the first time and not just a motorized boat ride. The only saving grace was the friendly and attentative crew as well as conversations with other passengers. After a short time, our attention was on conversation and not sightseeing/sailing. Would have to say it was enjoyable but for the wrong reason.

Very nice cruise and the crew was great. The only complaint is that the E ticket thing seems too complicated, why not just give the name of the passengers and check ID's at the sailboat.

I took the two hour day sail with my husband and 10 year old son. We used it as down time between our visits to Busch Gardens & Water Country USA. The cruise was very relaxing with beautiful scenery, the only down side was the very hot temperature of 102 degrees. We also enjoyed the boxed lunch offered on the cruise for a small price. The crew was extremely nice and very experienced in sailing, and my family was offered the chance to help raise the sails, which we enjoyed. I would recommend this day sail for everyone.

My husband an I enjoyed our evening sail on the Alliance. The crew was helpful and knowledgeable about historic sights along the sail. We enjoyed our sail tremendously, and would recommend it as a great ending to a day of touring Yorktown.

I gave this to my husband as a gift for our 13th Wedding Anniversary. The sail was fantastic , however when it came time to celebrate on board there was no champagne !! Huge disappointment... there were also two other couples celebrating their anniversaries. as a restaurant and business owner . I would suggest making a few changes in my approach to celebrations !
