We really enjoyed the sail. Great crew. Brought back some wonderful memories of my life on a sailboat. Will sail with them again!

Was a beautiful day and enjoyed the trip, wish we would have had more wind to sail further out of the general area...we did a lot of circles and didn't see much on the trip. Crew was great, friendly and safe.

The York River is bigger than most lakes I've seen....the sailing was FUN! We got to participate and hoist some sails.....very relaxing .....

Such a nice sail with a very friendly Captain and crew. It was the highlight of our trip to Williamsburg.

The crew was very entusiastic and able to answer all questions asked. After a short time we settled down and relaxed in the calm of the sail. There was much good conversation and we could get out of the wind/sun in the cabin where there were refreshements to purchase at a modest price. The youngest children that had come aboard did run out of patience and had a hard time toward the end of the journey. They could walk a little on the boat but it is quite small and has no place to run around.

Wonderful experience. Enjoyed the crew, the informative narrative, the beautiful day on the water. Highly recommend it.

We got married on the Alliance 2 years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed reliving the day in a more relaxed state. The trip was great and the history lesson added to the trip. Highly recommended for a relaxed evening date. The hosts are fabulous!!

Enjoyable sail up and down the York River, which is actually salt water, so the potential to see sealife (dolphins, etc) is there but it was too late in the season for us. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic crew who explained the ship and the sights, and let us help put up the sails if we wanted (6 of 7 guests did assist). We were very lucky with a partly cloudy, windy, mild fall day--weather could definitely be a factor in how enjoyable the trip is (and obviously out of the control of the operators).

We were quite fortunate that the weather was perfect-72 degrees, no humidity, not a cloud in the sky! The schooner was a bit uncomfortable, not a whole lot of room to sit. But we enjoyed it so much! I'd do it again.

This was our first sailing excursion, and the knowledgeable crew made the trip a good one. We sailed on a beautiful October day, mid-afternoon. Our two crew members were careful to explain not only safety rules, but also how the schooner operates. They had good knowledge of the area and spoke in detail about the American Revolution as viewed from the York river. Well done!

We had an enjoyable sunset cruise. The crew was hospitable, well informed and engaging. Everyone was friendly and chatted easily with one another. We will take another trip and bring our family with us next time.
