Great to see the area from the water. Narration by Toby was informative and helpful, and he has a very pleasant manner. The crew was welcoming and skilled. Recommend the tour to adults and children.

My wife and I very much enjoyed the sunset cruise! Beautiful views, entertaining and informative crew, and very convenient access with free covered parking! The River Walk area is gorgeous and boasts great restaurants, too. We will happily repeat the experience upon our next visit!

My wife and I, along with two of our dear friends, were fortunate enough to have participated in the very romantic (my wife's words!) 2-hour sunset cruise on the York river. Captain Greg and his crew were professional, capable, and very pleasant throughout the entire crew. They allowed us to participate in raising the sails and answered all of our questions. (I can tell you, I had many.) They worked throughout the evening to make sure that our cruise was fun and enjoyable and did a fine job. I recommend them to you and give them my highest compliments for a job well done.

Our group enjoyed the tall sailing schooner that sailed around the York River. The lunch was catered by The Carrot Tree Restaurant and was an excellent price and excellent quality. The only negative comment our group mentioned was that the seating was a little uncomfortable because basically you are sitting on the components of the schooner (life vest boxes, hatches, etc.). The ship had excellent crew members who were friendly and informative. This trip was well worth the price.

We really enjoyed the sail. Great crew. Brought back some wonderful memories of my life on a sailboat. Will sail with them again!

Was a beautiful day and enjoyed the trip, wish we would have had more wind to sail further out of the general area...we did a lot of circles and didn't see much on the trip. Crew was great, friendly and safe.

I moved to Virginia from Colorado and try to be around water every chance I get. I found this trip online and have always wanted to go sailing. The crew was great. The view was spectacular since we went at sunset. The refelection on the water allowed for some great pictures. Everyone should do this at some point in their life.

Enjoyed the sailing trip a great deal - found it to be very pleasant and relaxing. The only disappointing aspect of the trip was that the Captain and 1st Mate weren't from the area and were unable to give us any information regarding what we saw along the shorelines during our sail. Would definitely do it again on a future trip to the East Coast!

Enjoyable and had an entertaining and knowledgeable crew member. However, felt that there was so much more than could have been offerred. Would have liked more activities or having the crew members talking more about the ship and what was around our area. Was more small talk than information. Would like a little better seating at the front of the ship, limited and that was where you wanted to be to see the sights and really enjoy the sail. Atmosphere was missing something, not sure if it was light music, lighting or what it was, but needed a mood setter. More options in the galley would be nice. I would cut out the hot dogs and go for pre-wrapped sandwiches and more drink choices. Would have loved to sit on the deck with a glass of champagne to toast. Missing that decadent and romantic feel that you would like to enjoy on a "Romantic Sunset Sail". Blankets would be a nice touch to curl up and enjoy the sites while a crew members tells you about history, battles and culture of the area we were passing.

This excursion was such a glorious way to bring history, education, romance, and sightseeing into one evening. The crew was very accommodating the Captain provided descriptive detail of the sights. The best part is they do not push anything on you and you are able to ask as little or as much as you want. They give a thorough safety brief before casting off and let the guests help hoist the sails, providing a good rendition of what it was like to be a crew member back in the day. I would recommend this outfit to anyone who visits the Yorktown area. Hoping that fair winds and smooth seas are found to all that board this vessel...

During our honeymoon to Virginia, parts of our plans were to take a sightseeing cruise down at the River walk in Yorktown. Not only was the drive down there absolutely beautiful, I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful the sunset cruise ended up being. Not only was the crew very nice and informative. The boat itself was quite an awesome sight to look at. We took our two hour tour with only a few other couples which made it an even more pleasant experience. One of the most entertaining moments was when we had the chance to help in setting sail, a once in a lifetime sort of thing for allot of people to include myself. Overall there were several beautiful sights to see along the way, and with no sound of engines but only the sails blowing in the wind; it made for a very relaxing trip. Plenty of opportunity to cuddle up with the one you love more than anything and just share in the moment. Not to mention when the time came for the sunset to come, it was a breathtaking experience. However the only thing I would recommend is that you both come wearing a few more layers than you would normally expect to wear or bring a small bag with a light jacket and maybe even gloves. We took our tour around the middle of April, and all though the beginning of the trip was warm for the most part. Toward the end of the two hour cruise we were frozen solid and greatly looking forward to getting back in the car! All in all though I would, no doubt about it, recommend the Romantic Sunset Cruise to anyone. It was a wonderful experience and was a perfect add on to our honeymoon experience, with great memories to bring back with us! The York River is bigger than most lakes I've seen....the sailing was FUN! We got to participate and hoist some sails.....very relaxing .....
