Schooners Alliance & Serenity

There wasn't much wind, but we had a beautiful sunset and it was a relaxing time.

The crew was courteous and fun and the ride was phenomenal!

We were looking for something fun to do other than history. Found this wonderful sailboat cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. Crew was great, boat is nice and long and tall. You can even help rig up the sails. Hated to see the ride end, it was so much fun and relaxing. Highly recommend.

We cannot think of one element of the evening that could have been better. We especially enjoyed learning about the ship and sailing from Sarah and Matt.

Sunset cruise was so relaxing and romantic...........peaceful, friendly and educating crew ~ they explained the difference between a schooner and a sail boat. Several other "sailers" helped to raise the sails. They also had the least expensive beer we had on our vacation!! Would recommend this for couples ~ maybe the earlier day cruises for families. We would definitely make this part of our vacation if we visit the area again!

The crew and captain were warm and friendly. The cruise was relaxing and educational. We discussed local history with the crew who were very well versed on the role of local boats and citizens during the Battle of Yorktown. We had an absolutely wonderful experiance on the sunset sail. The crew really went out of their way to make all feel welcome and enjoy the cruise. We enjoyed the several conversations with the crew and were delited at how involved or not involved they allowed for. We helped to set the sails and sat back for wonderful conversation and peaceful evening on the water. The crew offered plenty of information and shared their experiance and know how about the ship. We would certainly recomend this excursion to anyone and plan on doing it again our selves on our next visit. The Alliance and her crew Rocks!

Best two hours of our vacation to Maryland and Virginia were spent on the Alliance Sunset cruise on the York River. I was able to help put up the sails with the crew. They were all awesome. We learned a lot about the names of the different sails and masts. I highly recommend the cruise if you're in the area before end of October. My husband and I want to check into their cruises in the Caribbean during off season.

Great relaxing way to spend an evening

My husband and I went on the Sunset Sail and just loved it. We thourghly enjoyed being on the water and the sunset was beautiful. The staff knew what they were doing and included guests in helping out and learning a few things about how to operate the schooner. This is a must do if you are planning on a vacation in Yorktown or Williamsburg.

Very enjoyable sail cruise. 2 Hours was perfect. Crew was nice and answered all questions. Would definetlely do it again.

The whole crew from the Captain on down was very helpful and nice to us. The cruise was just long enough and we enjoyed our afternoon very much. We've never been sailing before so it was a great experience.

I'm a sucker for a sailboat,as is my girlfriend. But this was an awesome experience. The only complaint was that it was too short!
