Booking was fast and easy and getting on the boat went off with no snags. The crew were fun and personable. The refreshments served onboard were reasonably priced too. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It was the highlight of my vacation.

It was a wonderful experience. we love the water and boats but this is the first time we were on a large sailboat. It was very relaxing and the sunset was beautiful. I would recomend it to everyone.

Everything went smoothly, ticket, boarding etc., and friendly atmosphere. Captain had a good sense of humor, seemed knowledgeable. The only real negative was that if the weather was bad, and this is VERY possible in summer time, that the ticket was not refundable, only a voucher for a later sail date could be given. Since we had a four hour drive and were leaving the area that day, that would not have worked for us. This is a bad policy! We were fortunate that the weather was Ok, since we bought the tickets in advance , they usually sell out.

I had a great time, the ship was clean, the crew were professional and friendly. I would definetly recommend this tour.

This was a nice diversion from the run-run-run of the Williamsburg area. Captain and crew very good about informing and involving those who want to be involved.

we injoyed the ride. it was my nieces first ride in the open water, she is 18 and was wandering if we would see some doulfins and we sighted several sightes. the crew we very polite and andwered many questions, from all passingers . and the sunset was wow, got some great pictures.

First saw the add for it in the Williamsburg/Yorktown Vacation Planner Last minute decision to do the Sunset Cruise on 7/30 Used telephone to purchase tickets-very easy Crew had information by the time boarding began Lovely experience Crew was friendly -Capt was very knowledgeable about Yorktown history-his ship-the York River. The other members of the crew were great-talkative and attentive to everyone's needs. We would do it again great time-great $- We have already recommended this activity to our friends.

Was amazed at how beautiful this tour was. even better was that there was plenty of wind that night and we DID NOT have to use motor except for leaving and returning to dock. had a blast would do it again

The ship is lovely, the crew friendly and gracious, and we were fortunate in having a beautiful sunset evening. The entire evening, which we anticipated as being romantic and peaceful, was changed with the addition of two musicians, one of whom was admittedly talented, but ... relentless .. in performing almost nonstop for two hours to a captive audience that was not really into the music. I would not take this cruise again unless I was sure I could hear the water, the birds, the wind in the sails. The crew introduced the duo as a "special treat" so maybe they aren't there often. Check in advance.

Two hours of total relaxation and joy. My husband and my 25-year-old son agree with this description. It was the best thing we did during our three days in the historical Williamsburg area. The captain of the Alliance was very knowledgeable of the area and the history that went with it. He had a great sense of humor and had us all laughing. The crew was eye candy for us old ladies. They were very nice, too. We took a buggy ride in Williamsburg and it lasted 15 minutes and the driver told us nothing about all the history around us. We recommend this cruise highly. It's worth every cent!

We loved this trip! We took this trip as a last minute "that sounds like it would be nice" kind of thing. Both of thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Everything worked very easy from making the arrangements, to finding the dock, to sitting back on the deck and watching the scenery. We also learned quite a bit about sailing from the very friendly crew. Would do this kind of trip again in a heartbeat.

Overall it was a good experience, but I feel that there were to many people on board the ship. The space to sit down was very limited and uncomfortable. The crew was wonderful and very professional. If it was'nt for the staff I would have rated much lower.

The crew needed to be informative. It would have been nice if they could tell us what we were seeing on shore or what body of water was ahead. Tell us more about the ship, how it works. Maybe some music playing. It was not a very interesting ride. It's like you were scared to do or ask or even talk to you friends. It needs more, more pajazz. It was a nice ride but it need more atmosphere for a sunset sail.
