A great experience with lots of encounters with whales and other sea animals. Crew very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and the on board coffee and snacks appreciated. After the 4 hour trip we visited a local sea food restaurant recommended by the crew -also well worth a visit.
Rating: 5 A wonderful time!

We had a great time on our trip ... saw 3 whales (one put on quite a show for us!), dolphins, porpoises, sea lions, seals, otters and jellies! The guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and were very respectful of the wildlife that we saw. The dock in Moss Landing was a bit of a drive from Carmel where we were staying, but well worth the trip to have such a great experience!
Rating: 5 This was amazing!

I've been on several whale watching tours and this was the best so far. The crew, Andy and Francisco, have a great knowledge about the marine life in Monterey Bay and share it very casually with the passengers. They are mindful of each passenger's needs and are at least as enthusiastic as the passengers about finding the marine life in the proverbial large haystack of the ocean! They are also very conscious of the health and conservation of the ocean and its inhabitants, taking pictures of a seemingly unhealthy whale calf to send to a researcher and stopping to pick up trash in the middle of the deep blue sea! We saw humpback whales, 3 species of dolphins, more sea lions than we could count and a huge number of 2 different species of jelly fish! A banner day to be sure!

Andy and Noel, The captains on the boat are the best in their field. The knowledge and respect they have for the wildlife is great. The humpbacks loved our boat the best and followed us for quite a show. Can't wait to go again.

We saw whales--we had a much better experience than some Monterey boats that were also in the area. We were close to the Whales we saw a lot of dolphins and I could tell the crew knew what they were doing.

Noel & Cisco were great captain and crew during our tour with Sanctuary. It was disappointing that the weather wasn't cooperative enough to allow us to stay out the entire time, or to see any whales, BUT we were kept safe and saw what we could. Sea otters, CA sea lions, pelicans and other sea-birds were abundant. We will definitely try Sanctuary again when back in the Santa Cruz area. Andrea

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour... the staff was WONDERFUL! They took the time out to explain so much along the way. Did you know that Rizzo dolphins are the largest species of the dolphin family? We didn't. The captain even stopped so that we could see the thousands of moon jellies he spotted just beneath the boat. We saw them by the hundreds just below the surface... awesome! When our mate spotted the humpback blow (30ft or so tall) we thought we were lucky enough to see a blue whale (alas it was not so). However, we did see 3 humpbacks (2 adults and 1 baby) and our captain got us close (but kept a respectful distance) so that all could enjoy the beauty of these creatures. We highly recommend this tour to all nature lovers! Just one word of caution, if you are not used to being on choppy waters take your meds early....so not to ruin this beautiful experience.

Noel is a good captain. He is patient and wants everyone to see as much wildlife as is possible.

We took the Sanctuary Cruises Whale Watching boat Sunday Sept. 30th. A clear day and smooth water made for an enjoyable day . It took most of our allotted time to find a nice group of whales, but when we did, Captain Noel said, " we will extend our time, so we can get a good look." Since for many onboard it is a one time trip, that was greatly appreciated.
