We were the only group on board that did not get sick. We took Bonine a half hour before as recommended on the box. I suspect that we may be the only ones from that day that will be repeat customers. We had a lovely day with very gentle swells and 2 Humpbacks and loads of dolphins and some happy otters. |

We went on this whale watching to celebrate our Birthdays - it was well worth it and very enjoyable - wish we could have seen more but you have to take what you get- we did get to see humpbacks, a mother and calf, as well a a single whale - they did put on a great show - the Captain and crew were knowledgable and gave us a good description of the local wildlife, and they made the trip educational as well as exciting. |

We are local residents who didn't want a tour of the Monterey area, so avoided the businesses at Fisherman's Wharf. Sanctuary Cruises provided a pure whale-watching experience that we all enjoyed. |

I really loved the ride, it was our second with Sanctuary. The first wasn't so great only because of bad weather and uncooperative whales. This time the weather was great, and we saw alot of marine life. The only complaint i would have was that we spent alot of time chasing dolphins when there were several whales that we missed out on seeing. It is just my personal preference, but always chase the whales!!
I think Sanctuary does a great job, and I will most likely be back again one day. |

Although the weather was not optimal (light rain, although temperature was not too cold), we were able to see 3 humpback whales, several sea lions, dolphins and many birds.
The captain was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. His deck hand was very up beat and personable, as well as helpful.
I would like to do this again in better weather, if possible. Very enjoyable. |

We saw more whales and much more other sea life than expected. We were particularly impressed with the crew, who kept up very well informed and showed good humor. We'd take this same trip again! |

We had a great day on the Monterey Bay with the team from Sanctuary. Weather was perfect, the boat was small and there not overcrowded as some trips with other outfits have been. The crew was knowledgeable and very casual/comfortable. We were able to see many humpback whales, jellyfish, loads of sea lions, sea birds, and a beautiful view of the Monterey bay. We highly recommend Sanctuary for a real natural and upclose experience with the bay. |

The trip was incredible! We saw a whale amost immediately after getting underway. Before we were through we must have seen at least a dozen whales, two blue sharks, a few otters, and innumerable sea lions. At one point, the boat was surrounded by a raft of maybe 200 sea lions. Wow!
We really appreciated the welcome, friendliness, knowledge, and enthusiasm of captain and crew. We chose Sanctuary because they advertised that they tried not to stress the animals by chasing them or coming to close. Their obvious love for the fish and animals we encountered was quite evident. And - they skillfully brought us in range of seeing these amazing creatures.
We would definitely take a Sanctuary tour again and will recommend them to our friends (in fact we already have). |

In the first 20 minutes we saw a humpback whale and the trip only got better. We saw a few more humpbacks, otters, sea lions, hundreds of birds and a porpoise.
The crew was sensitive to people feeling sea sick and gave us a gentle ride back to shore. If you like nature come aboard the Sanctuary cruise because you will have a great experience out on the open sea. |
