Enjoyable all around

This trip was thoroughly enjoyed. The naturalist on board was enthusiastic and informative. Strolling on the island beach and shelling was excellent as she pointed out objects. Wonderful weather certainly helped a lot. If anything was missing it was more history, but this is an Eco-tour, not a history tour. Go if you can.

One short stop on the way to Morris Island to check a crab trap. Zero dolphin touring, although they pointed out one dorsal fin as we sped past. Just a few minutes on Morris Island, and nowhere near the lighthouse. Won't be going on this one again.

The naturalist spent quite some time with us combing the beach on Morris Island to find shark's teeth. He was a good guide and the boat and tour were informative.

Dolphins!

It was hotter than Johnny Blue Blazes in downtown Chucktown, but out in the harbor aboard the Palmetto things were comfortable. Our group enjoyed the open views this boat provides as well as the freedom to move around once aboard. The kids had a great experience learning about different forms of sea life aboard the boat as well as exploring the beach on Morris Island. The adults were impressed by the knowledgeable staff and the close up view of dolphins that our captain provided us. I have never seen so many dolphins in one place at one time. Very cool! I liked this tour far better than the tours provided on the bigger boats, but I am a science teacher, so this tour was a better fit for me.

This was a very successful event for the whole family (three generations.) There was something of interest for everyone and the children (ages 4 to 9) absolutely loved it! We all learned things about the ecology of the Charleston waters and beaches as well as enjoyed a lovely sightseeing tour of the harbor. We highly recommend this tour for families.

Had signed up for this trip thinking we would be going through the marsh area but we misread the trip description. Our bad! That being said, we did have a great time on this tour. Katie, the naturalist, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us. We really enjoyed Morris Island. We were lucky to see the horeshoe crabs on the beach. Loved seeing all the different terns also. Thanks for a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed this tour. The naturalist was informative and enthusiastic. It is one of the best tours of Charleston Harbor with the bonus trip of Morris Island. If you like collecting sea shells, be sure to take a big zip lock bag with you to Morris Island.

Excellent Activity for family

The Nature/Dolphin tour is a great way to spend the afternoon. We left the dock and went saw a working crab trap then headed to Morris Island. There were pods of Dolphins no more than 30 feet away from the island feeding and we got some great pics. We strolled up and down the beach collecting shells and shark teeth. We headed back and again were able to snap some pictures of dolphins and Ft. Sumter as we cruised by. The captain was great and the other gentleman was extremely nice and informative.
