I was excited about this tour as I had been on other wonderful tours in this same area before. I was called and notified that we would be the only 2 on the boat as there were no others who signed up. We thought this was great. Like our own private charter. The capt was friendly and down to earth, as well as the guide. They were very nice dont get me wrong. But we didnt get a lot of history or facts about the island. Once we got to the island we were allowed to look for shells and explore at our own pace. However there was really minimal things there to see. We didnt have an awful time by any means. We just felt since there wasnt a large group all the info and history were just left out. We did get to see lots of dolphins which was great. This trip was just average and I was a lil bit disappointed. |

We had a great time. The naturalist was knowledgeable. The crew was friendly. We lucked out with beautiful weather. My only concern is that we signed up for a ride on the Palmetto catamaran (covered, on-board bathroom). Because there were only 5 people scheduled for the cruise that day, Sandlappers switched us to the skiff (not covered so we got sunburned and no on-board bathroom;luckily we used one on shore before we left!). We got soaked from the waves/wake. We weren't prepared for that. But we did enjoy the trip. |

The nature tour of the harbor was absolutely fantastic! My family and I had a blast seeing dolphins, fort sumpter, and walking around on the beach collecting sea shells! I would definitely do it again! |

Myself (grandmother) took my 2 grandsons 3 & 6 years to Charleston for our Spring break from school. The boys are all into dolphins, so that is why I decided to take them on this tour. That was the highlight of the trip to Charleson. There were several groups of dolphins at different times on the boat and getting off at Morris Island was an adventure. |

This was an excellent afternoon tour with a friendly and knowledgable crew and tour guide. We were able to see dolphins, learned about differnt crabs from the crab pot, and were shown a myriad of sea life from a collection on board. The walk on the beach at Morris Island to look for shells and sharks teeth was very enjoyable. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour for families with children, and anyone with an interest in nature. |

This was a small group, as only my husband, daughter and I and one other couple were in attendance, so I am sure it is different that if you go during the peak of the season with tons of people. Since there were only 5 of us, we took their small boat, rather than the large one, so I don't know what that would be like. We headed straight our for Morris Island, stopping to watch dolphins along the way. My daughter loved it! During the short ride, the tour guide showed us some crabs and explained some of their anatomy. Upon arrival at Morris Island, we had the place to ourselves. We were given an hour to walk the beach, pick up shells, and learn about some of the plants, animals, shells, and other items we found there or saw. They did say they usually didn't get to stay on the island that long. We found a variety of shells, including a conch, some large clam, scallop, and oyster shells, as well as shark teeth. I don't believe this is the "normal" tour, as they said they usually have many more people, but it was fun, our tour guide and captain were friendly, and we plan on going again sometime! |

This cruise was a decent date out, it probably would have been better but it was extremely hot. It was kind of short too, you just pretty much go strait to an island stay for 30 minutes and come back. the people are really nice though and try to make it as interesting as possible, so if your just looking for a date thats a little different then this is an ok choice |

Our family of five adults had a wonderful time on this trip. As a kindergarten teacher, I would highly recommend this activity for families with children too. The guides were very informative about many topics and welcomed questions from participants. There were animals in the touch tank that could be closely observed and a hands-on portion where different ocean objects were passed. The time on Morris Island could be better used if the guide had talked to the group as a whole on the island some first then given free time to look for shells and explore. As it was the guide went with one family with children and helped them find some shark teeth and a sand dollar. But overall the trip was well worth it. It was a highlight of our vacation for everyone in our group. |
