The tour was not crowded and we received personalized interaction with the tour guides and the boat captain. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to see dolphins up close. The boat was clean and comfortable and overall the experience was very enjoyable.

The eco nature tour did not disappoint us. The tour guide was excellent, the numerous dolphins sightings were great and Morrris Island was excellent for shelling and tranquility

We really enjoyed our nature tour with Sandlapper tours. Both the captain and first mate were friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed finding shark teeth on the shell beach!

Not a tour - just a boat ride

This was not a tour - there was no narrative, no information about what we were seeing, not even a description of the four points we traveled to in the harbor. It was a boat ride, with a cash bar and sorry snacks. While I enjoyed the ride I was expecting a tour. Not recommended

It was a boat trip to morris Island and back with a walk on the beach in between. The ad I saw lead me to believe that we would investigate some marsh areas see wildlife ( other than a crab in a trap) My family was disappointed.

Dolophins, Dolphins, and more Dolphins!

My family and I were very pleased when we realized that we were experiencing dolphins fishing for their food. It was truly amazing to see nature at work. The pelicans and other birds flying around were taking full advantage of the dolphins and their remarkable fishing ability. The naturalist on board was very informative and light hearted. Her explanation about how to tell a female blue crab from a male blue crab was entertaining and memorable. We would definitely come back for more.

the ride was good but the price was no especially when the harbor taxi takes you to the same island for 8 bucks

Well worth it. Both of the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. We learned about nature and history although the atmosphere was hardly classroom - a nice boat ride learning about the things around you. We had great luck seeing a large number of dolphins, which we were told was about a 75% chance.

A Great Laid-Back Family Event

We had a wonderful time. Our children are 15, 14 and 9 years old. The guide was very friendly and full of information. He let the kids very much feel a part of the experience. We particularly liked collecting shells on Morris Island and searching the water for dolphins. It was definately worth our time ond money while on vacation.

I learned about Sandlapper Tours when I chaperoned my son's class trip to Charleston in May. At the time, I knew we would be entertaining our two nephews from New Hampshire for a week. The trip was such a hit, I took a picture of the boat so I would have the phone number and could book a return visit. The second trip was everything it promised: informational -- with both history and marine biology (I learned about pregnant crabs); fun -- the boat ended up in a pod of dolphins at feeding time; and relaxing -- walking along a deserted beach as Morris Island. The kids loved it, and my husband and I had fun too.
