Great time!

This was our second Sandlapper ghost boat tour. Both times, we have had excellent story tellers. This time, we had Lee as our guide, and she was a fabulous story teller who told the classic ghost stories of Charleston as well as her own ghostly experiences around the city. This is a must-do activity for anyone who likes a good ghost story!

Lots of fun and interesting stories. Lee was funny, scary, and had many good ghost stories for the grand kids ! Would highly recommend this tour.

The Nature/Dolphin tour is a great way to spend the afternoon. We left the dock and went saw a working crab trap then headed to Morris Island. There were pods of Dolphins no more than 30 feet away from the island feeding and we got some great pics. We strolled up and down the beach collecting shells and shark teeth. We headed back and again were able to snap some pictures of dolphins and Ft. Sumter as we cruised by. The captain was great and the other gentleman was extremely nice and informative.

A wonderful way to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Great fun, good company, and a wonderful staff. Met some really nice people from all over the USA. It was a very scenic ride along the harbour and our captain's expertise on historial sights and events made it that much more enjoyable. It was such a beautiful clear night and the sunset was breathtaking. Remember to bring your camera to help recall all the the many things that you encounter. We even saw dolphins which was very special. Our Host/bartender took care of our every needs from drinks to snacks. Thanks to every one onboard and the staff that made this such a wonderful sunset cruise and a 50th anniversary to always remember.

My husband and I wanted to take a boat tour of the harbor area of Charleston and found this sunset tour on the internet ...it was exactly what we wanted....in fact it was one of the highlights of our week there. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere of the 2 hour trip, the captain made converation with riders and answered questions, but there was NO formal narration -- YAY! We simply boated, took in the views, enjoyed the provided light refreshments and got some fantastic photographs of the sunset. Would take this tour again and again!!!!

It was my first time on this tour, but I will be back in October with more of my family. Our guide was well educated on the history of Charleston. He had a great personality and the refreshments were also a hit!

Good trip on a hot day.

The nature trip to Sullivan Island started at 2 pm on a very warm day. But once we got out of the harbor the weather cooled down considerable - breeze mostly. On the way over, we stopped at a crab pot and looked at the caught crabs. Our guide did a good job of describing the blue crabs that were caught. Next we landed at Sullivan Island. We walked near the shore for approx. 30 mins. looking for shells, etc. One can see Ft. Sumter and the outline of Charleston from here. Good place to get pictures.

Only if your not going to be totally scared.

Some ghost stories were a little too unbelievable to really be scared of. The boat ride was nice and some of the facts stated in passing on specific things such as the boat that was in a show were pretty cool.

My girlfriend and I took the night tour on a whim, and were pleasantly surprised. Our guides were both knowledgeable and professional, with a great mix of tasteful humour added too! I'd recommend it to anyone passing through Charleston.

the cruise itself was nice

We all agreed the cruise was a nice little jog around the shore of Charleston, the tour guide wasn't as entertaining as we hoped. We only heard about 4 stories and they were spread out. There were 4 breaks for snack bar time, which seemed excessive.

Excellent tour by a knowledgeable guide (Ed Macy)
Wed, Jul 25, 12   11:00 AM normanpinola Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We took both nature & history tour. Both were worthwhile. Since we are more into history, we really enjoyed that tour best. Ed Macy has a wealth of early (and current) Charleston knowledge and presented it in a very entertaining way. Both the captain and Ed were very friendly and accomodating. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

An opportunity to see a little more of Charleston
Tue, Jul 24, 12   2:00 PM normanpinola Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This was the first tour we took (also took history tour) with Sandlapper. Saw most of the harbor and spent about 45 minutes on Morris Island. It was very hot that day leaving us with the desire to coax the boat back to the beach to pick us up. We did enjoy the tour though. Since we are really into early American History, we did enjoy the history tour much more. Still I would recommend this tour for those of you that are not history buffs. It is a great opportunity to see Charleston from the water and the islands as well.

We had an awesome time on the Ecotour we recently took. The crewmen were very knowledgeable concerning the animals we encountered and the history of Charleston. The kids loved visting Morris Island and looking for shells! We hope to try the Ghost Tour next time!
