The sunset cruise was all it was promised to be. The crew were knowledgeable, fun and friendly. To see the dolphins up close was icing on the cake. The cruise was much more than I thought it would be. A great time was had by all.

Not real clear where the booth was or that you needed to check in there. Booth was not manned when we walked up and we were running late....but were the first ones to the boat and went on board. Cruise itself was very good and captain very good and personalable

this was not a crazy, scarey night on a boat... this was an interesting historical evening on the water. we learned some great things about the city that recently became our home, enjoyed time with friends and had a great date.

Although I thought the Haunted boat ride would be more "haunted," it was overall a very good experience. Learned some interesting history of Charleston that you cannot read in books. Very nice night on the water

I personally thoroughly enjoyed the BOAT RIDE; Charleston at night was beautiful. (The majority of my family was not impressed with that portion either since our loop around the harbor was relatively small.) I learned a smidge of history I did not know before, but our family spent $100+ for only four mediocre "ghost stories." I was expecting much more for a family Halloween event. I certainly didn't expect to see ghosts or to be frightened, but I did expect to learn much more or hear more "stories." The four stories were relatively recent in Charleston's history and were all about events on land. Since we were on the water I supposed we'd hear of the many pirates that visited our harbor or of ships that might have sank or of older events since the city has such a rich and relatively long past. I would not do this particular tour again nor would I recommend it to friends. Sorry. On the up side, our view of the new Cooper River Bridge and the ride under it were things you can't get from any land tour, and it was of great interest to us all to watch the giant container ships be loaded and unloaded while cruising right up next to them.

Definitely recommend this ghost tour!

I took my girlfriend on the harbour ghost tour and we had a lot of fun. The guide was very nice and told interesting stories that I had never heard. Being a local, this was a surprise to me because I am a ghost fanatic and I know all of the stories. I was glad to hear some new tales. Also, the tour was really great because of all the great places. I enjoyed sailing under the bridge and throughout the harbour. I would definitely recommend this tour for people of all ages as well as locals and tourists. A+!!

NOT a Happy Parent

My daughter and her friend (along with a co-worker and her boyfriend) decided to give up tricking or treating with friends to go on what we thought would be a somewhat scarry and exciting ride around the harbor. This was our first boat ride here in the Charleston area. The Host of this ride preceeded to tell legends as if he was reading from a book. After the first story we thought maybe this ride would pick up in the so called "Haunted Ghost Tour" and we would see ghost or someone would jump out at us like in a Haunted House type of theme. Each story was just that.....some one reading outloud in almost a monotone voice. As my daughter and her friend sat there looking at me in disappointment the Host began telling a story that started out with a ghost coming out of a closet and tried having sex with 2 ladies in their 70's-80's. Now while he did get on to a lady going on the tour about foul language the in-appropriate comments about sex and humping like a dog was totally un-called for. The Host as well, proceeded to push alcohol by saying that the ride would be more scarrier if you drink. The brochure should have never mentioned children would be allowed on a tour that included sex and pushing alcohol. This tour was a complete waste of our money. $66.00 could have been better spent on my children. I felt that I just went up to the Host handed him $66.00 and went home. Atleast we would have not been completely bored, ready for the tour to be over and not have had to listen to the in-appropriate words being used. A Completely Disappointed Mother

Great Tour

This tour was fantastic! The guides on board were very informative about Charleston and the surrounding habitats. We were able to see crab pots pulled containing blue crabs, cruise through the harbor to see the shrimping boats at Mt. Pleasant, follow dolphin pods, and go shelling on Morris Island. I would definately recommend going on a day they stop at Morris Island. We were there about 30 minutes, but I wish we could have stayed there all day to look through the cool things that washed ashore. I would definately recommend and would go again!

Enjoyed our tour with our daughter and granddaughter. The tour guides did a good job, but I thought we might see more in wildlife. But still enjoyed ourselves. Thanks, Lester Park

My family with their children were here for a visit and we all went on the tour. The guide was absolutely wonderful. His knowledge of Charleston with added stories of the pirates and homes was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed it and we highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time on the boat tour. The haunted stories were very good, and Ben was extremely entertaining. Capt. Ray answered all our questions about the history of the area. They balance each other in personality perfectly. We got to see dolphins breaching the water, which was an unexpected surprize. We will definately go on this tour again!! Hilda Nichols - Tennessee

Not enough stories

While it was nice to be out on the water, we didn't hear as many ghost stories as we have on the typical walking tour. He could have told a few more stories on the way back in to port.

It was very relaxing to ride the Sandlapper on the Charleston Harbor and I felt very refreshed after the ride. Got good views of the Battery and Fort Sumter. However, make sure the weather is fine before you go on the tour. We could not see the sunset at all becuase of thick clouds.
