Addie is amazing, and always adds so much to the neighborhood with her extensive knowledge of New York and her unbridled enthusiasm for everything that has to do with food and eating. Savory Sojourns are always a feast, and this one no less: Brooklyn Heights & Atlantic Avenue are especially fascinating in how different they are both from each other and from similar areas in Manhattan. I'd suggest doing the Chinatown or Greenwich Village tour first if you're unfamiliar with New York, but if you're curious about Brooklyn or need something new to do with family or friends who've been here before, check out this tour! (Afterwards, I suggest walking down Smith Street, the main drag of hip Carroll Gardens, and then taking a long and lovely walk down Union Street across up-and-coming Gowanus and into historic Park Slope and the incredible Prospect Park. Make a Brooklyn Day of it!) |
