Native New Yorker and food enthusiast Addie Tomei shaped Savory Sojourns in her own image - with guides that share her knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for cooking and the city they call home. All experiences are led by Addie or one of her personally trained guides.
Since its formation, Savory Sojourns has had the pleasure of sharing New York's culinary treasures with countless New Yorkers and visitors, including even the gliterati of Addie's Oscar-winning daughter, actress Marisa Tomei. From restaurants to gourmet markets to patisseries and greenmarkets, Savory Sojourns incorporates them all.
Addie and Savory Sojourns have received rave reviews in dozens of publications, including Bon Appetit, Town and Country, The New York Times and The Chicago Tribune. Savory Sojourns has also been featured on The Food Network and NPR, among numerous TV and radio programs.

Join us as we take a tour through two of New York's most historic, energizing neighborhoods...
Walk with us through exotic Chinatown, one of New York's favorite tourist attractions.- Join the frenzy of eclectic energy for a walking tour of the best food shops, including butchers, produce vendors, Southeast Asian specialty shops, dry goods, Soya product shops, herbal shops, tea boutiques and more.
- Make stops at a serene teashop known for its herbal remedies, a candy store filled with exotic Asian flavors, a working ice cream factory, and a real Buddhist temple.
Then it's on to Little Italy, where we will take in charming street scenes and shops that make Little Italy so quaint.- We'll visit a traditional pasta store where over 25 varieties of fresh pasta are cut daily, a famed Italian pastry shop that has been in the neighborhood for over 100 years, and a family-owned cheese store where we'll taste velvety fresh mozzarella cheese.
- After working up an appetite, we'll be ready to enjoy lunch at one of the loveliest restaurants in the neighborhood. The Chef will prepare a sumptuous meal for our group, with colors, flavors and aromas that will transport your senses to Italy.
- After lunch, he will personally escort you to tour a high speed, big city kitchen in action.
This tour covers a lot of ground and entails extensive walking.
What Is Not Included?
Light breakfast, lunch and all tastings along the way are included in your ticket purchase. You might want to make additional purchases at some of the shopping venues we visit, so please bring cash and/or a credit card. .
