Great combo of exercise, information, and food

I enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of our guide--and the information she provided made Soho more interesting. Of course, great food. Far better than the average bus tour--nothing beats walking the streets with someone who has a passion for her work. Thank you so much!

A GREAT WAY TO SPEND A DAY!

After five years of trying to coordinate my annual fall theater trip to NYC with a walking tour by Savory Sojourns, this fall finally saw it happen. What a thoroughly enjoyable day! My girlfriend and I met Addie and the other four people in our group at the famous Balthazar Restaurant. in SoHo. A brief orientation was given while we drank coffee and ate scrumptious Balthazar Breakfast Speciality Treats. We spent the next few hours visiting small shops in SoHo and Little Italy. Addie seemed to know everyone and the shop owners treated us like royalty. We received tasty samples at many of the places we visited. My very favorite stop was at MarieBelle Chocolates....the samples were extraordinary! The tour ended with a fantastic lunch at IL CORTILE which is a Landmark in Little Italy. It was very Interesting to me that the two men in our group seemed to like the tour as much as the gals did. This tour is for everyone and I recommend it highly!

Fun But Overpriced

The tour was enjoyable, and lunch was great, but thought it was a bit expensive for what we got. Addie is knowledgeable, interesting and good at what she does, but the stops at the culinary shops (i.e. Sur La Table & Dean & DeLucca) were too short to really be of any value. The Italian & Spanish deli stops were very good, as was the chocolate shop, and the samples were good. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. A fun day but a bit overpriced for what it was. Cut the price to $100 per person and you'd have a true winner!

Not even the rain could diminish our enthusiasm. With a small group and a very knowledgeable tour guide, we were able to see places, learn historical facts, sample delicacies, shop and enjoy a sumptuous meal with very congenial fellow tourists.

My 21 year old daughter and myself shared a fantastic day with Eileen and Addie touring SoHo and Little Italy. We stopped at 15 locations, and enjoyed ourseves so much, we have returned to shop and eat additional times. The ladies made us feel like family immediately and are extremely knowledgable. We are looking forward to a return trip in the near future with them. This is the best way to become familar with the neighborhoods of NYC.

good show and enthusiastic tour guide

The group was a perfect size, including the guide, 7 in number. This allowed for good questions, few delays along the way and much interest. The guide was interested in pleasing and was delightfully informative. The food places we stopped at were definitely New York and the service and food were excellent. Especially good was the restaurant in Little Italy, Cortile, on Mulberry Street. It was the last stop on the tour and it left everyone well satisfied and enthusiastic about returning to NY real soon. Being a retired New Yorker, and seeing the joy the tour brought to the out-of-towners, it made me want to be a tour guide at some point down the road. Happy New Year!! Don't hesitate to put this tour(s) on your itinerary when in NYC.

OUTSTANDING LOCAL FEEL

Let me tell you! This was my first trip to NYC and I had the best time with Eileen and Addie. You are made to feel at home in NYC seeing the sights with a dear friend. I would recommed any of the tours; if they are are enjoyable as "Soho and Little Italy". We stopped and shopped at 9 different places, had personal tastings at several and were encouraged to sample the food at each food stop. The lunch afterward was superior, the restaurant was charming and the food a delight. Don't miss this one, the best way to see NYC. I am coming back to NY soon and plan another Savory Sojourn.

What a wonderful tour! My friend and I come into NYC a lot. We wanted to familiarize ourselves with different parts of Manhattan. We chose the Soho/Little Italy tour since we didn't know the area well. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area and going into the various shops. The places we toured were varied from a Chinese market to a Spanish deli and an unbelievably delicious chocolate shop! Not to mention the italian specialty shops and lunch... wow! what a meal. Our guide Eileen was friendly and knowledgeable. She felt like a friend you've known your whole life by tours end! Our group was small and the people friendly. I would recommend this tour to everyone. I can't wait to do another.

I felt as if I was being shown the Big Apple by an old friend who lives there. Addy gave us some history, interesting tidbits, and great fun, all while touring the shops and special eateries of SoHo and Little Italy. Even though we were joined by strangers on the tour, we all felt like great friends by the end of our time together. The whole tour was relaxed and comfortable, not rushed. Even if you are not a "foodie", you will love this experience!
