Native New Yorker and food enthusiast Addie Tomei shaped Savory Sojourns in her own image - with guides that share her knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for cooking and the city they call home. All experiences are led by Addie or one of her personally trained guides.
Since its formation, Savory Sojourns has had the pleasure of sharing New York's culinary treasures with countless New Yorkers and visitors, including even the gliterati of Addie's Oscar-winning daughter, actress Marisa Tomei. From restaurants to gourmet markets to patisseries and greenmarkets, Savory Sojourns incorporates them all.
Addie and Savory Sojourns have received rave reviews in dozens of publications, including Bon Appetit, Town and Country, The New York Times and The Chicago Tribune. Savory Sojourns has also been featured on The Food Network and NPR, among numerous TV and radio programs.

Activity Description
We'll begin the day with a light breakfast at the Upper East Side's premier gourmet market. Here, the chefs demonstrate their practiced techniques in the making of cheese, pastries and other delectable goodies.
Next, we'll, return to an Upper East Side you never knew existed. We'll visit an old German bakery, a neighborhood fixture established nearly eighty years ago, when German immigrants favored the area. Taste the hand-made rye, pumpernickel and other signature breads of Central Europe baked in time-tested brick ovens.
Our next stop is at New York's only bookstore devoted solely to food and cuisine. The owner will be happy to guide you to the latest copy of The Joy of Cooking or a rare copy of a royal Ottoman cookbook, with equal aplomb! Then it's on to New York's most ingenious culinary-concept store, to sample some world-class wines.
Finally it's time for lunch! You'll have stories to tell after savoring the finest pastries at our special patisserie. The owner's pedigree shows in his sinfully sweet creations: the works of a master.
