A real treat!

I took my visiting parents on the tour, and we all had a wonderful time. The Culinary Walk through Italian Greenwich Village was a nice balance of neighborhood history and culinary delights. We learned about several architecturally and historically significant buildings, visited several wonderful specialty shops (and tasted their wares - yum!), and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Addie was absolutely delightful and very knowledgeable about both the area and its establishments.

A real discovery

What a gem of a tour! With the help of the wonderful and knowledgeable Addie I was able to discover and sample some wonderful foods of New York that I would never have found (even if I had a guidebook!) Addie was able to show me an area that was very interesting and help source out some food that I had been searching for. Next time I'm in New York I'll certainly would go on another tour with Addie and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a tour that is flexible and fun!

Fabulous as Usual

Addie is amazing, and always adds so much to the neighborhood with her extensive knowledge of New York and her unbridled enthusiasm for everything that has to do with food and eating. Savory Sojourns are always a feast, and this one no less: Brooklyn Heights & Atlantic Avenue are especially fascinating in how different they are both from each other and from similar areas in Manhattan. I'd suggest doing the Chinatown or Greenwich Village tour first if you're unfamiliar with New York, but if you're curious about Brooklyn or need something new to do with family or friends who've been here before, check out this tour! (Afterwards, I suggest walking down Smith Street, the main drag of hip Carroll Gardens, and then taking a long and lovely walk down Union Street across up-and-coming Gowanus and into historic Park Slope and the incredible Prospect Park. Make a Brooklyn Day of it!)

Warm Welcome to the Big Apple

Savory Sojourns Little Italy tour was over the top fun. My friend and I were shown things that would of been missed had we been on our own. Addie's warm friendly way made a great first impression of the big city. We will be back.

We had a terrific experience walking all over the town. Our knowledgeable guide pointed out several very interesting facts and showed us part of little Italy we had never seen. The tour was very flexible and we were free to spend more time at the places we really enjoyed (the chocolate shop!) and speed through others. I will certainly go on another tour with this vendor.

Awesome...Not enough words to describe.

This tour was one of the best highlights of our New York trip. My girlfriend and I are from Wisconsin, and went along with my friends wife, who just recently move to New York. All three of us just loved the tour. Tastings in the bakery and deli were very neat. Had some of the best food imaginable. It's touted more as a food tour, but my girlfriend is not as much into food as I am, but was elated by the information and sights with the "non-food" attractions along the tour. Tour guides were just amazing. Very knowledgeable, and so fun to be with. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other tours. There may be cheaper tours available from other companies, but I'm sure they can't compare to this one as far as what is included. In my opinion, Savory Sojourns was worth every penny. Highly recommended.

A great tour.

As I haven't ventured far out of midtown on my visits, this tour provided me great history and insight into the local neighborhoods that I wouldn't have walked through by myself, simply due to lack of familiarity. The history and food breaks were wonderful, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walking pace is quite fast.

The Insider's Little Italy

A delightful afternoon spent with vivacious, knowledgeable guide, Addie Tomei. She took us to a whole series of amazing markets where we were treated like one of the family and urged to sample, sample, sample! I have spent a considerable amount of time in Italy, and at times, this little triangle of the Bronx felt more Italian than Italy with Italian music and banter filling the air. We concluded our tour with a lunch at Roberto's that I shall never forget. My advice to anyone interested in Italian food and culture--Do not miss this opportunity! It will be a highlight of your visit to New York.
