| Addie gave us a look at a peice of New York that we would never been able to expereince on our own. Not only were we able to "taste our way" through the neighborhood, Addie's knowledge and stories about the area added greatly to our New York experience. | I booked this for a birthday treat for my wife as part of our trip to New York, and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this or any other tour with Savory Sojourns. Addie was a fantastic host, and the fact that everyone else on our tour was a "repeat customer" put our minds at rest instantly. The tour of Little Italy was fantastic, we visited all types of food emporiums, cheese making demonstrations, tastings everywhere and ending up with a great meal, in a restaurant we would never have otherwise found. Have no worries at all about booking a tour with this company, it is a genuine treat for anyone who enjoys a great day out (and also with a fondness for food!!) | ||||||

| We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Addie. From her bright enthusiastic greeting to her warmly relating to everyone in the group we soon were a walking group of new friends. Her running commentary was always tailored to the planned included components of the tour and the unexpected things that developed and occurred as we walked the area. Her love for her community and City was clearly on display. The foods we tasted and dined on were all exceptional. All three of us, parents and twenty-five year old look forward to our next visit to New York and a tour of another section of the City with Addie. | ||||||

| As a birthday treat for my wife, I surprised her with a culinary walking tour of Greenwich Village. We met Addie and the rest of the group in an authentic Italian coffee shop in the Village where we enjoyed a delicious pastry and outstanding coffee. Addie described the itinerary for the day and we were off. The day could not have gone any better. Addie is very warm and friendly. As importantly, she is extremely knowledgeable, both about the history of the island and about the culinary treasures that are available along the way. As local Manhattanites we were fascinated by the gems that were revealed to us! From the best Mozzarella that we have ever tried (freshly made on the premises) to un-pasteurized honey that was imported from Mexico, the many tasting that we enjoyed along the way were all very tasty and a lot of fun. According to my wife - this was the best birthday surprise ever. I had a blast, and can't wait to go on my next tour with Savory Sojourn!!! | ||||||

| The group was a perfect size, including the guide, 7 in number. This allowed for good questions, few delays along the way and much interest. The guide was interested in pleasing and was delightfully informative. The food places we stopped at were definitely New York and the service and food were excellent. Especially good was the restaurant in Little Italy, Cortile, on Mulberry Street. It was the last stop on the tour and it left everyone well satisfied and enthusiastic about returning to NY real soon. Being a retired New Yorker, and seeing the joy the tour brought to the out-of-towners, it made me want to be a tour guide at some point down the road. Happy New Year!! Don't hesitate to put this tour(s) on your itinerary when in NYC. | ||||||

| The walk was informative, friendly and fun, mainly thanks to our guide Eileen who was a talkative local. However there really was very little walking, we missed the galleries (which had been a signifcant part of my reason for doing the tour) and the water taxi was not available on the day. To me these things were not critical as I had time to go and see the galleries afterwards, but they would prevent me from recommending the tour. | ||||||

| The tour included visits to Italian specialities stores within a few blocks, and ended with a meal at a very scenic restaurant named Zero, Otto Nove. Several of the visits included a talk with the owner or free samples. My favorite part was the visit to the Terranova Bakery and the opportunity to see the brick ovens heated by coal. | ||||||

| Addie, Both Christine and I had the most wonderful morning with your sister-in-law Eileen who managed to show us a view of Greenwich Village which we could not possibly have managed on our own. I am sorry it has taken so long to actually send a review but at long last I have gotten around to it. Every shop or location we visited was extremely welcoming, probably due in no small measure to Eileen's charm & lovely personality. Neither of us can actually name our favourite stop, they were all exciting. The other couple from California on that mornings tour were lovely and I can honestly say that the tour was the highlight of our visit to New York. The next time we are in New York we shall definitely take another of your tours and indeed have passed on our highest reccomendations to our friends here in Scotland. | Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the stores that were visited. There is a nice variety of places to see and you are never rushed. The cooking class is a great way to finish off the trip. The instructor is very easy to get along with and the recipes are designed for simplicity and taste. All in all a very nice time that I would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the culinary side of NY. | ||||||

| We had a terrific experience walking all over the town. Our knowledgeable guide pointed out several very interesting facts and showed us part of little Italy we had never seen. The tour was very flexible and we were free to spend more time at the places we really enjoyed (the chocolate shop!) and speed through others. I will certainly go on another tour with this vendor. | ||||||

| This tour was one of the best highlights of our New York trip. My girlfriend and I are from Wisconsin, and went along with my friends wife, who just recently move to New York. All three of us just loved the tour. Tastings in the bakery and deli were very neat. Had some of the best food imaginable. It's touted more as a food tour, but my girlfriend is not as much into food as I am, but was elated by the information and sights with the "non-food" attractions along the tour. Tour guides were just amazing. Very knowledgeable, and so fun to be with. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other tours. There may be cheaper tours available from other companies, but I'm sure they can't compare to this one as far as what is included. In my opinion, Savory Sojourns was worth every penny. Highly recommended. | ||||||

| As I haven't ventured far out of midtown on my visits, this tour provided me great history and insight into the local neighborhoods that I wouldn't have walked through by myself, simply due to lack of familiarity. The history and food breaks were wonderful, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walking pace is quite fast. | ||||||

| The tour of Arthur Ave was fun and informative. Addie has a great ability to captivate you with her knowledge of the history of Little Italy in the Bronx along with wonderful stories of growing up in the area. The local artisans in the food shops were delightful, friendly and helpful. The numerous food samples we were offered were phenominally tasty as was our lunch. We will definitely schedule another tour soon. | ||||||

| What a great delicious tasting tour of Greenwich Village! Our guide, Addie Tomei, makes a fun & lively hostess for this historical "foodie" walking tour of Greenwich Village. We tasted, smelled, and sated our visual senses, too, visiting local cheese and pasta shops and interesting businesses along the way. Even the pouring rain couldn't dampen our spirits and we finished off with a wonderful lunch in a trendy restaurant. Will definitely tour another neighborhood w/Addie's company, Savory Sojourns, when we return to NYC! | ||||||
