We knew it was going to be a fun tour from the minute we met Steve, the guide. He makes everyone feel welcome and he knows his stuff, both historical and food-related.

The Belltown Tour was really nice. The food was delicious and our guide, Steve, made the walk interesting with tidbits of history of the neighborhood. We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was my second time on the tour in less than 2 months. Both tours were equally good. I learned something new my second time around and we were able to tastes foods that weren't on the weekend tour. I would highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors from out of state!

This was a good way to learn more about Pike Place Market and highlighted some interesting vendors. I would have liked to stay in the market all day!

The tour was well-organized and informative. I enjoyed learning the history of the area and the history of the restraunts we visited. The food was great, too. I will patronize many of the eating establishments in the near future. I also plan to recommend this tour to friends.

We took this tour the same day we arrived to Seattle. It was our first trip there. We enjoyed the facts and overview of the city, as well as the many restaurant descriptions. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He did a great job. The food was great. It was a really nice way to start off our vacation (especially if you love to eat like we do!).

Great way to discover Pike Place

What a great way to discover, or re-discover, Pike Place Market!?! We've been in Seattle for 20+ years, and have been to Pike Place many times; but having an awesome guide to take your around, give you interesting history of the Market, make you try new treats, and introduce you to interesting people that makes up the Market, is definitely a great way to have fun on a Saturday afternoon! Of course, it helps that we had the most wonderful, passionate guide, Penny! =)

My husband and I went on the tour as a Valentine's present to each other. We have lived in Tacoma for 3 1/2 years and visited Pikes Market several times but thought the tour would be fun. We enjoyed it so much because we went to places that we did not even know existed and we learned the history of the market. We would do it again and recommend Penny as a tour guide anytime. Thank you much for thisopportunity.

It was a great way to experience the Seattle culinary culture. We visited a nice variety of restaurants, bars and even a bakery! Michael, our guide was very knowledgeable of not only the food, but also the history and culture of Belltown. Of course, we also got to sample a little bit of everything, including a couple of glasses of wine, and it all added up to a pretty nice dinner. I would definitely recommend this tour to tourists and locals alike.

My friend and I came to Seattle for my 40th birthday. Although I have been there many times, I have never taken any tours. This was perfect for us as it was informative and made us feel part of this wonderful city. Our guide was very nice and we would recommend this tour to someone at the beginning of their trip. No regrets! Thanks again!

Penny was a fabulous tour guide! She knew so many of the vendors and it was fun to watch them interact. It really added to the overall experience of the market. Penny had a great wealth of knowledge of the market's history and was very personable. I felt lucky to have a one-on-one tour of the market with her!

great restaurants, not enough food

I would like to make a few points: 1. Steve was an excellent tour guide. 2. Recommended/discounted parking locations should be information provided with the tickets. 3. Advertisement needs to go into tourist magazines, just word of mouth/internet searches suggest that the market is untapped. 4. Talking about history during the walking tour in the rain is less than ideal. I recommend a slide show or preliminary discussion of Belltown before going munching. 5. The diversity of the restaurants was phenomenal. The quality of the food was outstanding. However, I was extremely disappointed in the quantity of food served. I did not eat lunch thinking that the tour would fill me up. I was definitely not filled up by the time the tour was over. 6. I am not sure I would recommend this tour to my relatives given the cost and quantity of food. Rather, I would probably take them to some of the restaurants we visited.

Maybe I just lucked out but I attended a food tour last weekend and was the only one on the tour! It was really great. Lots of historical information combined with fabulous new foods to try. My tour guide Penny was very personable and was a great resource for all things Seattle. I would highly recommend the tour although you shouldn't expect to eat too much. Samples were pretty small but new and interesting foods along with excellent quality items were included.

We learned a lot

This was a great introduction to an otherwise very large and overwhelming market to a non-local. We had a lot of fun and very much enjoyed the food, I would have appreciated a little more "lighter-fare" tastes and less cream and sugar and oil, except the tea. Almost every taster had cream, oil, sugar or all three (the cheese and sausage, clam chowder, truffle oil, cream of leek soup, pastry, doughnut). Even the veggie platter at the end was heavily covered with oil as form of dressing. Other than a stomach ache at the end, we had a lot of fun : )
