Highly recommend!

Steve served as our guide of the Pike's Place Market area and we were treated to an explanation and pictures of the history of both the Market area and Seattle in general. We enjoyed all of the food tastings and also hearing about the various owners of the shops that we visited. The food was super (and filling), but it was Steve who made the tour a particular treat.

this tour was wonderful, interesting, fun, delectable. Just make sure you don't have plans immediately afterward, it would have been nice to have a 2nd glass of wine at the last stop.

My 3 friends and I had a wonderful time on the Pike's Place Food Tour. Penny was an awesome guide. She was so enthusiastic and very enjoyable to be around. She was also full of information and you could tell she had great relationships with the vendors whose businesses we visited. The sample's were delicious. One of my friends had the suggestion of having the dessert samples later after the other samples. Also, one suggestion @ The Crumpet Shop would be to ask people on the tour if they would prefer their crumpet's w/o honey. Other than that the tour is highly recommended. Penny was the best!!!

Great intro to Seattle's best, by the best!

I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Even though there was a slight snafu with the tour guide being sick and the crumpet shop being closed, the professionalism of the owner, Michael, shined through and provided us with a fantastic tour. One can tell that he loves food and loves to show people all about why he loves it. He clearly has taken the time and effort to seek out the best places in the market and he is not afraid to share why. I only wish that we had more time to explore, but our vacation time was limited. We will be back and if there is another tour, we will happily take it.

The guide was excellent and provided an entertaining overview of the history and merchants of the Market. Favourite merchants we visited: Tea Shop: pleasant and interesting, Fish Shop: vibrant, friendly and great salmon jerky! Italian groceries: the cheese and rosemary salami were excellent, Italian Truffle Speciality Shop: informative, The Dried Fruit Stall: very friendly and excellent quality goods. Overall, a nice introduction to the Market for someone who has never been there before.

Great tour filled with good eats, excellent history of Seattle Chefs and establishments and lots of humor to go along with it. We returned the next night to enjoy one of the restaurants on the tour.

We had a great time sampling different cuisines in Seattle. Most of the places we didn't even know they were there! Over all great experience.

Our tour guide Heather was awesome. She gave wonderful tidbits about the markeyt and had gave inside scoop about local favorites. Small group of eleven made the tour manageable and not overwhelming. Food sampling was yummy and diverse. Highly recommend!!!

Michael was a great guide! This tour brought us to great spots that everyone should know about! Michael told about Belltown history and fun facts along the way. He made sure we were all comfortable. We weren't rushed through the tour while we saw and tasted everything, yet we ended on time. We covered a lot of Belltown, but the walking was minimal. I highly recommend this tour! I will bring other guests on this tour in the future!

Perfect for the history buff and foodie fan!

My wife and I went on this tour after getting strong recommendations from her parents. They were right as this was a fantastic time and a great way to get to know down-town Seattle. Our tour-guide was a lot of fun, informative and best of all, took up to some great restaurants to get a flavor of the best that Seattle has to offer. In addition, we learned a lot about the history of the area which I always find interesting. Be warned, if the weather is wet make sure to dress warm and bring an umbrella as there is a fair bit of walking involved! But, it is a great time and I highly recommend it to anyone that loves great food.

Great overview of some local restaurants
Thu, Oct 1  3:00 PM tushah Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
My husband and I (who have lived in Seattle 6+ years) signed up to take this tour with a friend who was visiting from Chicago. The reason we were motivated is because she wanted to try a bunch of different restaurants, and we wanted specifically to try some of the newer restaurants scheduled to be on the tour. We really enjoyed it; the food was really good, the company was great and the bit of history thrown in along the way from the guide was really interesting and worthwhile. It's a walking tour so you get to walk through downtown/belltown a bit which is nice (depending on the weather) and the amount of food/wine you get for the price is fair--you'd spend the same on a dinner at a nice restaurant with wine, etc. Try it! It was fun! You get to speak to a few of the chefs and learn what inspires them, where they get their produce, etc, and meet some nice out-of-towners!

We had a really great time on this tour. Steve was our guide and gave us a quick overview of the market. The food we sampled was delicious. All four in our group had a great time. Would tell anyone that is was worth while.
