| My husband and I enjoyed the food and the historical/background info. that was given to us by our guide. She was exceptional! Very knowledgeable and pleasant. We thought most of the food samples that were chosen were a good sample of Seattle's food. For the price it would have been nicer to try a few more food samples. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable. Linda Czyz (We were on the Saturday, July 11th 12:00 tour). | ||||||

A perfect thing to do on your first day to Seattle

| We took this tour on our first day in Seattle in order to get an insiders view of the Pike Place Market - where to go, what to see, and what to eat. Besides the locations actually visited on this tour, our guide gave us insight on other great places in the Pike Place Market as well as other attractions in the Seattle area. During our week in Seattle, we utilized our "insider information" in order to have a great vacation. I highly recommend this tour. | ||||||

| I live local, my sister-in-law is from Seal Beach, CA and we both loved our tour. The combination of foods, the amount we received, the fun of the learning the history of the market with our tour guide, Heather ... all of it made us feel special, like we had the inside tract. Loved the Gelato stop. Have been back for clam chowder, the best ever! and went to The Pink Door for dinner that same evening. I would recommend this tour in a heart beat and have. | ||||||

| We loved this tour! I was introducing a friend to the splendors of the Pacific Northwest and of several days spent in Seattle, this was by far our favorite thing to do. It is unique, interesting and delicious and the guide is not only informative but lots of fun. | ||||||

| It was really fun.The tour guide gave us a lot of information (thanks!). However, the portion of each food is just "tasting" size. I needed to trace some shops again to eat the lovely food more!! | ||||||

| I felt that the tour focused on just what I wanted to learn about the Market. The establishments where we stopped to sample food were varied and places I felt the locals might stop to eat. We ate at Pike Place Chowder and the Pink Door (both are on the tour). The food was excellent and you can’t beat the Pink Door’s view on a beautiful summer night. | ||||||

| My husband and I joined a group of tourists from England for the food tour. Penny was our guide. Penny did a wonderful job of including a lot of information about the history of the market as well as the specifics regarding the places of business that we were visiting. We did not visit any place of business that we did not thoroughly enjoy. The food was wonderful and the tasting of some of the food was a new experience for me. The tour was a good way to get an introduction to the market and the various businesses in the market. My husband and I went back to several of the places in the market after the tour was completed. We had a wonderful time and I would certainly recommend the tour to anyone that would like to learn more about the market or likes to taste a variety of foods. | ||||||

| Our guide, Penny, was an enthusiastic, energetic tour guide. She took us on a varity-filled food tour. We tasted smoked salmon, gelato, crumpets, etc. The list goes on and on all while she gave wonderful information about the market place history. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. | ||||||

| This is a great way to become familiar with the market, learn it's history and introduce you to some tasty locations requiring second visits. Although I am an explorer, I probably would not have found these gems on my own, and the price is also great. | ||||||

Food Tour - 3 stars doesn't mean neutral

| I gave the food tour three stars for a few reasons. I thought it was good, not great. I liked that there was opportunity to see parts of the market that I wouldn't have discovered on my own. Some of the tastes were a bit weak (dried fruit was OK and where did the donuts come from??). However, the chowder was a delicious generous portion and and it ended on a good note with a lovely anit-pasto platter at the pink door. I liked the history lesson of the market. I would have like the tour guide to be a little more active in pointing out things we were passing, not necessarily stopping at. For example - "on our left there is a great pastry shop you might want to stop and try after the tour..." Also, I think the tour guide could be more well versed in his presentation. Presenting in front of a group is always difficult but I expected a bit more polish on something that is done everyday (maybe several times a day). Overall the food portion was ok, but the information I got from the tour (where the wine tasting room was, information on the city and market in general) was the most valuable part of the tour. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could and I would recommend it to someone who is visiting the city. Thank you! | ||||||

| me and my boy friend really enjoy this food tour. The tour guy is well prepared and not only showing us around the belltown restaurant ( btw all the place he took us to, I recommand it to all my "local" seattle friend). But he also explian the history of seattle. I will recommand this tour for both local and even a tourist like me. | ||||||

| Michael, was very informative regarding the history of Belltown. He also had a very good relationship with the restaurants and the chefs. It was a nice way to stroll thru Belltown at a slow pace and learn of other restaurants. The food was very good, I am recommending this to all my friends, neighbors and family, as a great way to spend time together. Nice gift for a birthday/anniversary | ||||||

| I've been on quite a few food tours. The food on this tour is on par with the best selection I've encountered. The food ranges in variety, the restaraunts are intimate without being pretentious- we even got to speak with chefs. I did feel that the tour lacked some personality. To me, food tours are a great way to sample great food while learning about a unique section of a city- I felt this part of the tour was lacking. The guide was friendly, but while speaking about the area was not engaging. In short- amazing food, decent tour. | ||||||

Wonderful Food, Interesting walk

| Much was learned and interesting food consumed on this walk around Belltown. Our gracious guide told us much about how the area evolved over time and about people involved in creating that history. Generous bites of food was enjoyed at each stop especially the meatballs at Branzino's. I highly recommend this tour. | ||||||
