| My cousin and i visited seattle for the weekend and decided to give your food tour a try. Neither one of us had ever gone on a "food tour" and did not know what to expect. We did not regret our decision. We both enjoyed the walk around Belltown, learning about the local history and enjoying the food stops along the way. I think the only two recommendations I would make is that it would be nice if there was a pork alternative at the Longhorn Barbecue and a milk alternative at the Cherry Street Coffee House. Although I did not have a problem with the food offering, I would think that some people would not be able to eat pork and some are dairy intolerant. Otherwise, We both enjoyed the tour, the food, and the whole experience. Thank you! Victor | ||||||

| We enjoyed the tour leader, Carole. She was knowlegeable, we could hear her explain the many historical and culinary highlights. The choice of the food sampling was outstanding. I have lived in Redmond for about 2 years and took the food tour on recommendation of local people who took it. The friends I took with me with from New Jersey and are amateur gourmet chefs themselves. They raved about it. | ||||||

| It was fun and educational. My only regret is that I took the tour toward the end of my vacation. I had no time to go back to get the full experience of the restaurants. I guess it gives me a reason to come back to Seattle. | ||||||

| I found out about this tour from Tripadvisor.com. It was rated the #1 tourist activity in Seattle, and the reviews were so enthusiastic that my boyfriend and I considered it a must-do on our trip. By the end of the tour, we were incredibly confused as to why everyone gave it such rave reviews. The tour was 2 and a half hours long, with way too much talking. Our tour guide was obviously knowledgeable about the restaurants in the area, but instead of just taking us to the places where we were going to sample food, she took us to a bunch of restaurants just to show us the exteriors and talk about the menus-- thanks, but I have a Zagat guide. Overall, the eating portion (which was admittedly tasty) probably took about 45 minutes, and the remaining hour and 30 minutes was boring and a waste of time. If you are the type of person who doesn't like to explore or research on your own, this tour is for you. If you are happy with a guide book and a sense of adventure, steer clear. | ||||||

| This was a good way to learn about local history and restaurants...the tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic...her suggestions ran the gamut of coffee shops, bakeries, cafes, and pubs to fine dining...but the tastings did not include any upscale restaurants...perhaps that would be another tour. | ||||||

| Excellent tour guide and assistant; very knowledgeable about both the restaurants as well as the history of Seattle itself...great info on all of the restaurants in the downtown area and tasty samples from over a dozen of them...the tour is only around 2 hrs long, and is a great way to start the day on the town with your date...it was a highlight of our trip and will definitely, and enthusiastically, share the info and pictures with all of our friends... | ||||||

| We were expecting a different experience with the food tour. We were a group of knowledgeable food women that came to Seattle to eat! There was a ton of information on all the restaurants we stopped by and which ones to go to, but we had already done our homework for that. We were expecting more information about the food we were eating. The best stop was at Rose's Chocolates in the market because it was a real "informative" stop. Rose herself was there and it really made the difference. All the other stops were very impersonal and just a way to "feed us" to make us feel like it was worth what we paid. I might as well been at Costco. Another strange thing is our first stop after our meeting place (at 10:30 AM) was for a bbq sandwich. | ||||||

| Three of us took the day off from work and walked the tour. We loved it. Great food and very interesting Seattle history. Our tour guide did a great job of providing information, staying organized and making for a fun day. Who knew that 1st Avenue had such a restaurant variety. We will be back and share this experience with friends. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Belltown and Pikes Place Market. Our guide did an excellent job of providing history of the area and pointing out restaurants and points of interest we would have missed on our own. The food samples were delicious and ample. Would recommend this tour to most anyone....foodie or not. | ||||||

| How many times in an new city has an argument ensued because no one knows what to eat or where to eat and your hungry? You end up eating at whatever place is before you when frustration runs high. Well my wife (co-frustee) and and I took this tour on the first morning of our 3 day weekend and we couldn't have been happier. Not only was the tour wonderfully informative but the dining recommendations (listed on a cheat sheet) meant we had a culinary plan of attack for the rest of our stay. Unbiased (I asked) and informative our guide, Bronwyn, also gave us some good history and insight of the Seattle area in general. There was easily enough food on the tour that we were able to skip lunch and we probably could have skipped breakfast as well. We will hope to find this activity in other cities we visit. | ||||||

| IT IS INTERESTING BUT THERE WASN'T MUCH TO EAT. WE WERE TOLD NOT TO WORRY ABOUT BRINGING A LUNCH BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE PLENTY TO EAT AND THAT ISN'T THE CASE. OUR TOUR GUIDE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGE ABLE AND ENTERTAINING. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. | ||||||

| Our tour guide was Brownwen and she did an excellent job of providing our group with history and information about Belltown and the Pike Place neighborhoods. We had a perfect day for walking and the pace was just right for our group. The variety of restraurants was sufficient and opportunities to taste samples was nicely paced throughout the morning. We did subsequently dine at three of the establishments so that says a lot for her recommendations and should be a boost for participating businesses. My guest and I both agreed that it was well worth the money! | ||||||

| As soon as we finished this tour we promised we'd come on line and review it, because we chose to do it through recommendations and wanted others to know what a great holiday experience we found it to be. It was an excellent way to spend a few hours and well worth the money. We felt by the end of it not only were we full on delicious food we'd probably not otherwise have sampled during our short stay in Seattle, but we also felt we were more familiar with the city itself. Bronwyn shared stories about the history and the development of Seattle as a city, including things that I'd not even read a hint of in the guide books. Bronwyn was also really happy to make allowances for individuals dietary needs and get substitutes for the planned food stops where appropriate. Though on that note I'd recommend going with whatever is on offer as it's opportunity to try new things that are guaranteed to be really good. The other people on the tour all seemed to get a great deal from it too, and Mike, who was training to do the tour himself will no doubt be excellent at the job as he was as gently friendly and enthusiastic as Bronwyn. I only wish we'd had more time in Seattle to revisit some of the great places we stopped off, at or heard about during the tour. Go for it! You won't regret it! | ||||||
