Absolute Must for a "Foodie" Seattle Walking Food Tour of Belltown & Pike Place

This is a must for local and tourist alike. I've lived in Seattle 20+ years and didn't know many of the secrets and history shared on this tour. The places we stopped for food/samples were great and delicious. The pulled pork sandwich from the Frontier Room was amazing! Bronwyn our guide knew her stuff. Appreciated the insight she gave into good places to eat. Now if I can just find the time to return to them and indulge my taste buds. This tour is well worth the money, time and an inch on your waist line!

This tour was recommended by a native Seattleite(?). And how glad we took her recommendation. It was great! Tour operator - Bronwyn, or Robin to the rest of us, was so interesting and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the history and especially the food! If we are back in Seattle - we would take it again.

A local friend recommended we take the Seattle Food Tour while in town. This was a wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable guide. She took us on a walk through town and to a variety of restaurants for samples. The food samples were just the right size and delicious. I would highly recommend this tour and would take it again when we are in town. Five Stars!!

Do not eat before this tour as the amounts one is given to "taste" is very generous! The food was great, the history very interesting, the guide very personable and knowledgable and the walking relatively easy. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in Seattle's restaurants and history.

We really enjoyed the tour and the food samples. It was a great introduction to Seattle restaurants for one of our group who will be spending the summer in the city, and for the others who will hopefully be visiting more often. The group leader was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything, and a very pleasant person to spend a few hours with. For food lovers like us, it was something we would certainly do again.

You cannot come to Seattle, for the first time, and not do this tour! Our guide, Braulyn(sp), was excellent. She was so enthusiastic and wholeheartedly wanted us to enjoy the tour. She gave great history on what we saw, lots of information about the food and restaurants we visited, and gave ample time to enjoy the tour. We tasted seven different foods and enjoyed the ambience of each restaurants/eatery. The food was delicious, and all the shop keepers were delighted to have our tour. If you like to eat, this is a must tour. If you are a dieter, go anyway because it is so much fun. We also returned to two of the "tour stops" later in the week to purchase food from them. I don't want to give away the "tour stops", but Pike Place Chowder is to die for!! Yes, we went back there again. My husband went with me, reluctantly, BUT enjoyed the tour as much as I did. He even told people we met later that this tour was a "must". The only regret was the tour was 2-1/2 hours - I could have spent the entire day!!!

Tour guides were friendly, informative , fun and well organized. They shared lots of history of Seattle, were well informed about the restaurants, their food and prices and their history in the city. The best part was the food samples, all of them were generous and yummy! You definitely did not need to eat lunch after this tour.

My husband and I both loved this tour. Our only regret was that we took it on our last day in seattle and so we were not able to hit some of the many great spots we were introduced to here. However, it made for fabulous preliminary research for our return trip in November. It was terrific to have a historical context in which to appreciate the Belltown part of town and great to find out about places like Mario's Fontana resataurant....stuff only an informed local could clue you into. As for foodies......the quality is outstanding and the portions are generous. I may well take the the tour again in November if its offered.....only on the early part of my visit!

I randomly came across an advertisement for this in a guide book and it ended up being one of the highlights of my entire trip. It was a very casual, friendly tour through the restaurants of Pike Market as well as 1st and 2nd street. The guides were both very outgoing and knowledgable and there was a good variety in the actual food that was offered for tasting (monkey bread, baby shredded pork sandwiches, coffee, chocolate, clam chowder, smoked salmon and coconut cream pie).

We had a great time sampling the treats of Seattle while seeing the sights in Belltown and Pike Place Market. Our guides were very knowledgable and accomodating and gave us not only a great taste of the food ot the area but also a good sense of the history and development that shaped Seattle. If you take this tour and we highly incourage you to do so, do it at the beginning of your stay because you will get many wonderful tips on great restaurants in the area . When we return to Seattle we will probaly take this tour again just to see if there is anything that we might have missed. The experience and the latte alone are worth the trip. This is a great tour for locals and tourists! They show you Belltown and a part of Pike Market. You will have tastings in/from several restaurants (sometimes you are seated sometimes you continuing to walk around while tasting). The tourguide will provide also some historical information, show some pictures and tell about a lot of restaurants where you pass. You will also get a list with the restaurants, they talked about. I have already recommended it to several people especially friends who have visitors from out of town to take this tour! We did this tour with 3 friends and my one year old baby...it was ok to take the stroller but be ready to push (up hill) or go down a stair...
