We learned some interesting history of the area and are excited to try out the restaurant recommendations. The food on the tour was good and not necessarily places we would have ever found by ourselves.

If you like to eat, you will love this tour. The variety of food and restaurants was perfect. It was most enjoyable walking along all the busy streets. The tour guide was excellent. It was one of the best tours that we were ever on.

Bronwyn's tour of Belltown and the market was very enjoyable. We talked, we ate, we laughed. The focus on history and food was very appealing. We had a wonderful week in Seattle, and this was the best part.

My mom (visiting from Florida) and I decided to take part in the Seattle Walking Food Tour...and I am SO glad we did! Despite threatening clouds we met great people (the tour guide included) ate great food, and learned so much history about Belltown and the surrounding Seattle area. I'm sure each group dynamic gives for a little different experience, but I highly recommend (and have!) this tour. Enjoy!

very nicely done tour with tidbits on the local food scene but also the history behind the chefs, buildings and history of the area. Really enjoyed it; Bronwyn our tour host was very personable and we had a nice small group of 5 only so we could goof around, ask plenty of questions and get to know each other a bit. Highly recommended and well-worth the value.

My mother, sister-in-law and I met for our first annual girls get-together and we decided to try this food tour as a way to get to know the Pike/Belltown area of Seattle better and to get ideas for places we would like to go out to eat. This was an awesome introduction. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We thought that our samples of food/drink would be small bites--but they were half sandwiches and cups of soup and an average small sized cup of great cappuccino and more--that was definitely a pleasant surprise. The food was wonderful. I cannot say enough. I wish that I lived closer to go on the evening food tour that I hear about. Next time, I guess!

What a unique way to explore Seattle! When out-of-town family came to visit, some had been here before, some had not. And even though I live here, I had never learned so much about the areas we explored in downtown Seattle. Our tour guide, Bronwyn, was fun, knowledgable, had the whole tour organized so we never really waited for our tasty tidbits, and taught me so much about the city I thought I already knew. My guests raved about being able to participate in such an interesting tour away from the glut of tourists and the typical city attractions. And when we were done, we had enjoyed some good exercise, great food and had many delicious memories to last us until we take the tour again!

We were on our second week of a road trip having driven up from San Francisco and completely lost track of time/space etc and actually turned up for the tour a day early. Going to a new city for the first time the best thing you can do is take a tour, most places offer a bus tour but for something unique take a food tour. Our guide Bronwyn ( I live 20 miles from Wales and that's the local spelling so apologies if it was different) was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect you could think of locatities, chefs, owners etc and certainly gave us a taste of Seattle to the point were we went back to Rose's chocolate cabin and bought quite a selection for family back home and the same night returned to The Frontier for a barbeque dinner - we did make a point of mentioning we had called in earlier in the day with the food tour. Enjoy!

My family consists of meat lovers, seafood eaters and a vegetarian and this tour took care of us all. Bronwyn was charming and informative, the exercise was great and the food was not only good but plentiful. We were all full afterwards. I recommend it for locals and vacationers alike.

My husband and I went on the Seattle Food Walking Tour on Sat., Sept. 15, 2007. It was a wonderful experience. When we started the tour, we were given a shopping bag, bottle of water, wash 'n dry (all the essentials we'd need), and a list of restaurants in town. We met at the incredible Macrina's Bakery and sampled freshly-baked bread that tasted like cake. This is a hot spot in town, don't miss it... it was packed! We started our walk and learned all about Seattle, the heritage, each street that we walked on, the stores, homes, apartments, condos, and loads of restaurants. We then stopped at a fantastic coffee shop where we had an artistic latte where the cream was designed like a heart. (You don't see that at Starbucks!) We were able to sit for awhile and learn the history of the cafe, and see the specialty breads, cakes, and unique menu. Next, Pike's Place Market (most famous tourist attraction in Seattle), where we saw the fish mongers singing, throwing fish, and wrapping everything in a way we had never seen before. We sampled a fresh salmon cocktail which was outstanding. Next ... Pike's Place Chowder for the best chowder we've ever eaten, and they must have had a list of a dozen types of chowders (we had the incredible seafood chowder). We walked along the Market and saw all kinds of very fresh foods, crafts, jewelry, fruits, flowers, etc. being sold. Our next stop was a Mexican Restaurant for nachos, Salsa, guacamole, and Quesadillas (and I can't eat spicy food but this was outstanding). A superb culinary chocolate shop - Rose's Chocolates, followed. It had every type of chocolate imaginable as well as unthinkable combinations of spices, vegetables, fruits, and more dipped in chocolate that I never would have dreamed of - quite tasty. We were even given a private lecture on chocolates and a box of chocolates to take with us as a gift. Finally, we stopped at an incredible bakery that made unbelievable coconut pie (and we're from Florida so we know coconut pie!). Not only did we have LARGE samples of foods from every place that we stopped at, but we could also sit for awhile (and use the rest rooms at each stop). Our tour leader, Bronwyn Gerberding, was not only knowledgable of everything in Seattle, but very personable. She made the tour extremely interesting... never a boring moment, and did we eat well!!! I'd recommend this trip for tourists and certainly, locals, who are interested in different foods, restaurants, night life, and a great way to start a vacation, so you know where to eat during your trip. And as a thank you from Bronwyn (if you can believe that SHE was thanking us, when we couldn't do enough to thank her!), she gave us a package of Seattle's famous chocolate covered Bing Cherries... to die for! Bronwyn's personality lit up the tour, and the foods she chose as samples, and the stops she made were just PERFECT! Don't hesitate to go on this tour for one minute! Truly memorable, and a culinary treat!

The guide was great. Very upbeat and knowledgeable. Not only were we informed about the foods in Belltown but we also learned about the history of the city and its architecture. The establishments we visited were all very good (in fact we returned to Pike Place Chowder on Monday for lunch - the guy behind the counter was suggesting the tour to out of town patrons). We will definitely do this tour again and enthusiastically suggest it to friends visiting the city. A great value for the money. A question...does Seattle Food Tours have another tour that visits other eating establishments?
