We have taken tours all over the states and all over Europe, and this ranks with the very best of them. Take it your first day in Seattle and you'll know where to eat for a month. What a great idea: local history, places to eat, and samples all along the way! Do it. You will not regret it.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the food in the area as well as some very good historical information about Belltown and Pikes Market. My only negative was it was hard to hear the guide at all times (downtown traffic and such). I know other tours use audio devices to allow for better hearing. This could be an additional feature at some point. Overall, the tour was very good and fun for us both.

Overall we liked the tour for the most part. A couple of details would have made it fantastic. The description of the tour was accurate, it was mostly outside. When we first met it was a cold and drizzly day, typical for early spring in Seattle. It would have helped to start indoors for the first 10 minutes because 1) The traffic is loud and you can't hear the history of Belltown at times, so that detracts from the experience 2) If we haven't been walking, we aren't really warmed up so standing still in the damp cold was not enjoyable. The hand warmers and bottled water were a nice touch, very thoughtful. The blonde tour guide was very beautiful, thought you wouldn't hear that in a review from a man in his early 30s did ya?! Once we got going and sampled some food things improved. I would say that the least impressive food stop was the Frontier BBQ, the pulled pork sliders were nothing special, the meat tasted like it was done in a crock pot and no smoky evidence that it was slow smoked. The sauce was good but I'd rather have some more of it. The tapas places looked yummy and we were glad to discover them, the sample was great! Overall it was a decent tour, overall value was fair, I felt it was a little on the expensive side. I think $35 would be a more fair price.

Great! - Though we were Late!!

In imperfect weather, we were able to experience (for us in a perfect way) a taste of Seattle. Melinda and I planned this break from our 6 children. We did NOT have much time to spend in Seattle. This venue was perfect for us to experience the highlights of great foods in the Belltown/Pike's market area. We arrived late, and wasted 30 minutes waiting at the third resteraunt for the group. But we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. No excuses for being late (we were 12 mins late), but we would have preferred to join the group at whichever resteraunt they were in. We had a GPS, so we could have easily found our group. However, we were guided to meet at the 3rd resteraunt, and waited there for 30 mins. But this is truly an experience we will always remember! A friend dragged me into this food tour and I thought to myself, "$40 bucks for a tour that doesn't even provide much food!" I went into the food tour thinking I was going to be hungry and bored, but turns out I had lots of fun. It was about 40 degrees, but our food tour guide (Carol) was so knowledgeable. She knew everything there was to know about Belltown and also about pikes. She told interesting stories about the city. Most of the restaurants she did mention were on the higher end and out of my cost range. I am a bigger guy and love to devour large amounts of food (ie. meaning I like quantity over quality). She did however recommend other restaurants that were a bit cheaper. I don't think I'll be hitting up all the recommended restaurants in the future, but a couple of them intrigued me.

This was such a great experience. The hostess was so knowledgable - about the city, the sights, the restaurants, the chefs and the history. We only wish every city would make something just like this available. It was a tremendous resource and we used it over and over again during our stay in Seattle. We only ate at restaurants that she told us about - and she was right on in every case. If you can't tell, we loved it and would recommend it to everyone. We were able to experience things that we never would have on our own - and the tastings along the way were great - had a wonderful /breakfast/lunch during the two hour tour. Do it - you won't regret it! Best money we spent on the trip.

Carol was an excellent guide. She gave us the scoop on some divine chocolate from Rosie. She also steered us to some of the best Marsala we've ever had. Her companion Steve was also adept and spent time with all members of the tour. This tour was great. We had a walking five course meal while getting the lowdown on some of Seattle's finest eats. I would go on this tour again and bring my newbie friends along.

On a cloudy, cold, windy ( so typically Seattle) morning we were warmed and charmed as we walked the streets of Belltown and the Pike Street Market - by the end of the tour we were all talking and laughing with each other as we enjoyed many tidbits from the several restaurants and just wished we were staying there for a couple of weeks so that we could enjoy the many recommended eateries!! A super tour!!!

IT IS INTERESTING BUT THERE WASN'T MUCH TO EAT. WE WERE TOLD NOT TO WORRY ABOUT BRINGING A LUNCH BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE PLENTY TO EAT AND THAT ISN'T THE CASE. OUR TOUR GUIDE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGE ABLE AND ENTERTAINING. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

How many times in an new city has an argument ensued because no one knows what to eat or where to eat and your hungry? You end up eating at whatever place is before you when frustration runs high. Well my wife (co-frustee) and and I took this tour on the first morning of our 3 day weekend and we couldn't have been happier. Not only was the tour wonderfully informative but the dining recommendations (listed on a cheat sheet) meant we had a culinary plan of attack for the rest of our stay. Unbiased (I asked) and informative our guide, Bronwyn, also gave us some good history and insight of the Seattle area in general. There was easily enough food on the tour that we were able to skip lunch and we probably could have skipped breakfast as well. We will hope to find this activity in other cities we visit.

Excellent tour guide and assistant; very knowledgeable about both the restaurants as well as the history of Seattle itself...great info on all of the restaurants in the downtown area and tasty samples from over a dozen of them...the tour is only around 2 hrs long, and is a great way to start the day on the town with your date...it was a highlight of our trip and will definitely, and enthusiastically, share the info and pictures with all of our friends...

It was fun and educational. My only regret is that I took the tour toward the end of my vacation. I had no time to go back to get the full experience of the restaurants. I guess it gives me a reason to come back to Seattle.
