I randomly came across an advertisement for this in a guide book and it ended up being one of the highlights of my entire trip. It was a very casual, friendly tour through the restaurants of Pike Market as well as 1st and 2nd street. The guides were both very outgoing and knowledgable and there was a good variety in the actual food that was offered for tasting (monkey bread, baby shredded pork sandwiches, coffee, chocolate, clam chowder, smoked salmon and coconut cream pie).

Fantastic tour guides. Very knowledgeable and made the tour very fun. Stopped at 7 places along the way to sample local culinary treats. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Seattle Walking Food Tour.

We had a great time sampling the treats of Seattle while seeing the sights in Belltown and Pike Place Market. Our guides were very knowledgable and accomodating and gave us not only a great taste of the food ot the area but also a good sense of the history and development that shaped Seattle. If you take this tour and we highly incourage you to do so, do it at the beginning of your stay because you will get many wonderful tips on great restaurants in the area . When we return to Seattle we will probaly take this tour again just to see if there is anything that we might have missed. The experience and the latte alone are worth the trip. Instilled a desire to return and enjoy the widely varied restaurants in Seattle. The clam chowder was the GREATEST.

The tour was fun, interesting and a great value. It gave me many ideas about where to go out for a meal. Also I'm made aware again of what a great resource we have in The Pike Place Market. I'd do it again--Thanks!

I am SO glad I started my vacation in Seattle with this tour because I learned so much about Seattle and some of the great restaurants in the Downtown area. Got to sample coffee, a pastry, some BBQ (which I was not expecting to try being that Seattle is not known for BBQ - that, and I am from Texas), the best clam chowder in the country, some chocolate, smoked salmon and a desert from Dahlia Bakery. Food was good, and variety was nice. I also really liked what I learned about Seattle from the guide, she was very nice and informative. I also found out about some restaurants that I never would have known about that I actually ended up going to later on in my trip that were absolutely wonderful (Zoe's and Lola's - both very nice!). So if you are visiting Seattle for the first time and like food, this is a definite good place to start a vacation.

My girlfriend and I make it a point to solicit and follow up on restaurant recommendations from our friends yet we greatly enjoyed the Seattle Food Tour. The history, pacing, and, of course, the samples were all well crafted.

Overall worthwhile experience. Tour also includes info regarding the Belltown and Market center. Tour guide was very pleasant and informative....But if you read the internet info, keep in mind that the restaurants they say you will tour aren't necessarily so. I had read that we'd visit a Japanese and Vietnamese restaurant and was looking very forward to that, but we went elsewhere.

We had such a great time, the Tour was outstanding; a wonderful blend of history, architecture, and urban evolution. And that is not even getting to the food, which was great. We heartily recommend this for locals and not so locals, we had a fabulous time.

Leader of tour was great. Please expand to other areas of the city. I grew up in the Seattle area and did not know there are so many great choices in all price ranges, especially in the Pike Place Market. Great gift for family and friends.

Totally enjoyed the Seattle Food Tour. Very knowledgable guide with great enthusiasm for the subject and area. We've lived in the area 14 years and were introduced to several places we've never thought to try ourselves. We had heard of some other tours that were less informative and less personal and were fortunate to discover this tour after reading an article in the Puyallup Herald. We are telling all our friends about this tour and highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike. Thanks!

During the last planning stages of our trip to Seattle, I discovered two different Seattle Walking/Food Tours online. Having booked through Zerve for a tour in NYC and liking the options slightly better on this particular tour than the other, I decided to book the Seattle Walking Food Tour of Belltown & Pike Place. We were VERY glad we did. Our guide was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, spoke clearly, and good at handling situations that arose (in particular, homeless people). Besides our wonderful guide, the choices for stops and the food selections were so fantastic that we decided to return to a few on our own. Our favorites were Pike Place Chowder and Rose's Chocolates, but we truly enjoyed learning about the other restaurants, their histories, and the owners/chefs as well. It was very informative and made for a great first thing to do upon arrival in Seattle. We were able to make informed choices for our lunches and dinners for the remainder of our stay. My only disappointment would be was that the tour wasn't long enough. I could have walked, listened to stories, and sampled foods/drinks for a few more hours! One note of concern was a restaurant recommended on the tour: Cascadia. Apparently the restaurant and its chef are highly regarded, having garnished many awards and appearing on TV. Unfortunately, we were, apparently, not welcome there, and I would recommend that the tour remove this restaurant from its recommendation list. We arrived there at 5:00 pm when it opened. The dining room was empty. We asked for a table for 2 and informed that we did not have a reservation for the empty restaurant. We were told that they could seat us (if they had to), but we'd have to leave by 6:30 when their reservations started. We declined the "invitation," as it was apparent that we were not wanted and -- I'm assuming -- that the service is too slow since an hour and a half would not be enough time.
