I really enjoyed this food tour... I thought the instructor was very friendly and she definately knew what she was doing... It was fun trying all the different types of food and learning about Seattle history. I highly reccommend this to any one who has visitors from out of town... Locals will enjoy too!!!

The food choices were great - a good mix of Seattle. Loved the fact that we visited restaurants that we had not heard of. The tour was just the right amount of time and distance. I would highly recommend this tour to both locals and out of town guests.

We decided to take the tour in order to learn more about the restaurants in downtown Seattle. We were so impressed with the samples and portion sizes that were offered on the tour. We were also surprised at how much we learned about our own city! We will certainly recommend this tour to others and take our out of town guests on it as well. A big "thank you" to our enthusiastic and knowlegeable guide!

The guide was excellent and provided an entertaining overview of the history and merchants of the Market. Favourite merchants we visited: Tea Shop: pleasant and interesting, Fish Shop: vibrant, friendly and great salmon jerky! Italian groceries: the cheese and rosemary salami were excellent, Italian Truffle Speciality Shop: informative, The Dried Fruit Stall: very friendly and excellent quality goods. Overall, a nice introduction to the Market for someone who has never been there before.

Great tour filled with good eats, excellent history of Seattle Chefs and establishments and lots of humor to go along with it. We returned the next night to enjoy one of the restaurants on the tour.

We had such a great time touring the market and tasting all of the delicious treats along the way. Unlike me, my boyfriend is a not much of food-lover but he loved it as much as I did. Our tour guide, Penny, made the tour upbeat, enjoyable and educational - a difficult task if you ask me.

The guide, Michael, was worth the price of the tour. He is very knowledgeable and seems to know everyone at the places where we nibbled, drank or just stood out side of to receive information. The nibble choices were varied and delicious ,especially the flourless chocolate cake.There was plenty for a sweet tooth or a savoury tooth. Thank you. Now that I am home by friends can't believe how excited I have been describing a food tour ! PS. I can rave about the Pike Market tour as well. Do both of them !
Great food, wine & company Belltown Restaurant Tour

I really enjoyed this tour. It not only gives you a historic background of the Belltown area and Seattle in general, but you get to taste delicious food and wine along the way. Its a great way for tourists to taste the local cuisine and I imagine a good tour for locals or regular visitors to take also so they can go back to their favorite of the selected restaurants. For those travelling alone, the tour was a good way to meet and interact with others. Two thumbs up

Every restaurant we went to was excellent. The Spanish one was probably our least favorite, but it was still good. Our tour guide Michael was great. We found there was a little to much history, it was good, but if there was a little more talk about good restaurants on the tour, that would be great. We did not like the fact that we had our first sampling, and it was about an hour before our second sample, but it picked up after that! Would have liked a few more tasting's, but it is a great tour for locals looking for great restaurants! We really enjoyed it and would recommend it, we are looking forward to coming back for the Pike's Place Market Tour!

We thought the tour was superb and would highly recommend this to anyone. Carol, our guide, was knowledgeable, fun and accomodating and the combination of history for the neighbourhood and description of the various restaurants, plus the selected food samples were first rate. Our only regret was that we didn't get the chance to take this tour the day before, when we arrived in Seattle, because we would have had an extra day to sample some of the restaurant suggestions that Carol had for us. The walking part of the tour was low impact and the taste of the food high impact. Portions were larger than I expected and accommodations were made to me being vegetarian. Substitutions were just as flavourful as what others were getting. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We went into a a number of establishments, as well as receiving information about a wide range of places. The tour guide seemed to have a really good rapport with the businesses who all treated us very well. Went to two recommended restaurants subsequent to tour and brought home chocolates from one of the sample shops. It really sets you up at the start of your visit to sort out where you want to eat for your stay - high and low budgets both covered. And the chowder was to die for. Loved it - thank you.

As soon as we finished this tour we promised we'd come on line and review it, because we chose to do it through recommendations and wanted others to know what a great holiday experience we found it to be. It was an excellent way to spend a few hours and well worth the money. We felt by the end of it not only were we full on delicious food we'd probably not otherwise have sampled during our short stay in Seattle, but we also felt we were more familiar with the city itself. Bronwyn shared stories about the history and the development of Seattle as a city, including things that I'd not even read a hint of in the guide books. Bronwyn was also really happy to make allowances for individuals dietary needs and get substitutes for the planned food stops where appropriate. Though on that note I'd recommend going with whatever is on offer as it's opportunity to try new things that are guaranteed to be really good. The other people on the tour all seemed to get a great deal from it too, and Mike, who was training to do the tour himself will no doubt be excellent at the job as he was as gently friendly and enthusiastic as Bronwyn. I only wish we'd had more time in Seattle to revisit some of the great places we stopped off, at or heard about during the tour. Go for it! You won't regret it!
