| We really enjoyed the tour of the market, hearing about its history and tasting the culture! It was well worth the money and the afternoon. After the tour we made a couple of stops back at places to sample more or to make purchases. This was one of the best experiences on our trip and would recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle. | ||||||

| It was our first time to Seattle and we thought this would be a great way to get a small taste of the market area and we were right! Our guide was friendly and knowledgable. The food samples were wonderful! I would highly recommend this tour for other visitors to Seattle. | ||||||

| I am SO glad I started my vacation in Seattle with this tour because I learned so much about Seattle and some of the great restaurants in the Downtown area. Got to sample coffee, a pastry, some BBQ (which I was not expecting to try being that Seattle is not known for BBQ - that, and I am from Texas), the best clam chowder in the country, some chocolate, smoked salmon and a desert from Dahlia Bakery. Food was good, and variety was nice. I also really liked what I learned about Seattle from the guide, she was very nice and informative. I also found out about some restaurants that I never would have known about that I actually ended up going to later on in my trip that were absolutely wonderful (Zoe's and Lola's - both very nice!). So if you are visiting Seattle for the first time and like food, this is a definite good place to start a vacation. | ||||||

| We took this tour after having taken a Pike St Market walking tour from a different vendor a few days earlier. The other tour was better. One key improvement that could be made to this tour would be to provide earphones & a wireless mike for the guide. The Pike St Mkt tour used that equipment & we got a lot more communication from the guide as a result. On this tour, street noise & hubbub from the Market & other places really made it difficult to hear the guide without being very close to her. I would have also liked more interaction from restaaurant owners/chefs that we got. I was also puzzled about the lack of comments given about some restaurants. On the flight in to Seattle, I read an article about Seattle eateries, and one that was mentioned prominently was 94 Stewart...yet we walked right past it on the tour without a word being said. All in all, a good tour that could be improved. | ||||||

| We really enjoyed the Tour at Pike Place, the food was absolutely amazing and our tour guide, Heather was very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, we were left behind by the group and were unable to get reconnected. Our tour guide asked us to look around a shop while she got our samples and she'd find us when it was time to go, about 10 minutes later we were wondering what had happened and couldn't find anyone with our group. We didn't know where they were going next, or how to contact our guide. It was very disappointing and frustrating. However, up until we were left, it was really very good. We thought the group size might be a bit large...we had about 15 people. | ||||||

| My wife and I went on this tour after getting strong recommendations from her parents. They were right as this was a fantastic time and a great way to get to know down-town Seattle. Our tour-guide was a lot of fun, informative and best of all, took up to some great restaurants to get a flavor of the best that Seattle has to offer. In addition, we learned a lot about the history of the area which I always find interesting. Be warned, if the weather is wet make sure to dress warm and bring an umbrella as there is a fair bit of walking involved! But, it is a great time and I highly recommend it to anyone that loves great food. | ||||||

| We (2 adults, 1 fourteen yr old) enjoyed the tour. We ate a bit of breakfast before showing up and soon found out that wasn't necessary. The places we visited were diverse and a good range of foods. I hope the tour venues change periodically. It would be interesting to try other restaurants that were discussed, but not visited. We visit Seattle frequently, so this is a great way to find out about new (and not so new) restaurants. | ||||||

| We have taken tours all over the states and all over Europe, and this ranks with the very best of them. Take it your first day in Seattle and you'll know where to eat for a month. What a great idea: local history, places to eat, and samples all along the way! Do it. You will not regret it. | ||||||

| My husband and I went on the Seattle Food Walking Tour on Sat., Sept. 15, 2007. It was a wonderful experience. When we started the tour, we were given a shopping bag, bottle of water, wash 'n dry (all the essentials we'd need), and a list of restaurants in town. We met at the incredible Macrina's Bakery and sampled freshly-baked bread that tasted like cake. This is a hot spot in town, don't miss it... it was packed! We started our walk and learned all about Seattle, the heritage, each street that we walked on, the stores, homes, apartments, condos, and loads of restaurants. We then stopped at a fantastic coffee shop where we had an artistic latte where the cream was designed like a heart. (You don't see that at Starbucks!) We were able to sit for awhile and learn the history of the cafe, and see the specialty breads, cakes, and unique menu. Next, Pike's Place Market (most famous tourist attraction in Seattle), where we saw the fish mongers singing, throwing fish, and wrapping everything in a way we had never seen before. We sampled a fresh salmon cocktail which was outstanding. Next ... Pike's Place Chowder for the best chowder we've ever eaten, and they must have had a list of a dozen types of chowders (we had the incredible seafood chowder). We walked along the Market and saw all kinds of very fresh foods, crafts, jewelry, fruits, flowers, etc. being sold. Our next stop was a Mexican Restaurant for nachos, Salsa, guacamole, and Quesadillas (and I can't eat spicy food but this was outstanding). A superb culinary chocolate shop - Rose's Chocolates, followed. It had every type of chocolate imaginable as well as unthinkable combinations of spices, vegetables, fruits, and more dipped in chocolate that I never would have dreamed of - quite tasty. We were even given a private lecture on chocolates and a box of chocolates to take with us as a gift. Finally, we stopped at an incredible bakery that made unbelievable coconut pie (and we're from Florida so we know coconut pie!). Not only did we have LARGE samples of foods from every place that we stopped at, but we could also sit for awhile (and use the rest rooms at each stop). Our tour leader, Bronwyn Gerberding, was not only knowledgable of everything in Seattle, but very personable. She made the tour extremely interesting... never a boring moment, and did we eat well!!! I'd recommend this trip for tourists and certainly, locals, who are interested in different foods, restaurants, night life, and a great way to start a vacation, so you know where to eat during your trip. And as a thank you from Bronwyn (if you can believe that SHE was thanking us, when we couldn't do enough to thank her!), she gave us a package of Seattle's famous chocolate covered Bing Cherries... to die for! Bronwyn's personality lit up the tour, and the foods she chose as samples, and the stops she made were just PERFECT! Don't hesitate to go on this tour for one minute! Truly memorable, and a culinary treat! | ||||||

| The Seattle Food Tour was definitely one of the best parts of my trip to Seattle! Bronwyn was an excellent guide and not only introduced me to some of the great restaurants of the area, but also provided a very nice overview of some of the history of the city. It was truly a unique experience and one of the best "tourist" activities that I have ever done. I actually think that it would be a fun thing to do even if you live in the area. This tour is a must! | ||||||

| Bronwyn is an outanding tour guide. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be the only two in the group and couldn't have asked for a more informative and fun tour. Bronwyn is extraordinarily knowledgeable about Pike Place and Belltown. She provided to us a lot of history and food samples! Clearly, the purveyors we visited know Bronwyn and she was greated with such enthusiasm! We used the restaurant list to finish our eating adventures and were very grateful for the previews. Another thing is that I have several food allergies and Bronwyn was very quick to acknowledge that she knew about them and to make sure that anything that she suggested was not a problem for me. Bronwyn also helped us, not only through her own experiences, but some of her friends, insofar as a side trip to Port Townsend was concerned. She went above and beyond to help us and, again, we were grateful for all of the help. We went to several of her suggested restaurants and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Bronwyn for the Pike Place and Belltown tour. In fact, I highly recommend Zerve for all of their tours. We have used them on a few occasions and always have had exceptional experiences. | ||||||

| The walking part of the tour was low impact and the taste of the food high impact. Portions were larger than I expected and accommodations were made to me being vegetarian. Substitutions were just as flavourful as what others were getting. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We went into a a number of establishments, as well as receiving information about a wide range of places. The tour guide seemed to have a really good rapport with the businesses who all treated us very well. Went to two recommended restaurants subsequent to tour and brought home chocolates from one of the sample shops. It really sets you up at the start of your visit to sort out where you want to eat for your stay - high and low budgets both covered. And the chowder was to die for. Loved it - thank you. | ||||||
