As good as the food was, learning about the development of Belltown was fascinating. This tour allows one to get some insight into the character and development of Belltown, something you'd never really get if you just walk through the neighbourhood. Also our guide, Bronwyn (spelling?), had a great depth of knowledge of the area, as well as the different restaurants, their owners and their stories. Although the tour is for Belltown and Pike Place, about two-thirds of the walk was in Belltown. The other third was in Post Alley, just adjacent to the main and more touristy section of the Pike Place Market. A bit hard to hear the guide when large trucks and traffic go by, but our guide was enthusiastic and always willing to answer questions. All in all, food for the mind for those interested in hows, whats and whys and food for the stomach for those who want to know the good places to eat.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the tour. We had artisan cinnamon buns, a latte, chocolate, a pulled pork sandwich, chowder, coconut cream pie and smoked salmon which generous portions to try. Our leader, Bronwyn, was knowledgeable, accomodating and organized. We were inspired to try other restaurants mentioned on the tour. We got a flavour of the city in more than one sense!

The tour guide knew interesting facts and details that greatly added to our knowledge of the Bell St. area . My husband and I have visited Seattle once a year for the past 20-25 years, so I thought we knew quite a bit about the Pike Place and its surrounding area. She only enhanced our appreciation of the cafes and restaurants in this location. The walk was paced perfectly. It was low key and the food was wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn a bit about the local food scene.

The food tour was very informative about Seattle's history and about great restaurants to try during your visit. I recommend doing the tour right at the beginning of your vacation so you have time to try the restaurants that are shown to you. It was a great way to get to know the downtown area. We took our six month old in his stroller and had no problems pushing it throughout the tour.

We really enjoyed the tour and the food samples. It was a great introduction to Seattle restaurants for one of our group who will be spending the summer in the city, and for the others who will hopefully be visiting more often. The group leader was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything, and a very pleasant person to spend a few hours with. For food lovers like us, it was something we would certainly do again.

I'm so pleased I took the time to research all Seattle could offer and was delighted with just the one day we had we chose The Food Tour. Our guide was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable providing not only as the tour suggests food, but also has extensive information on the history and architecture. We were on our second week of a road trip having driven up from San Francisco and completely lost track of time/space etc and actually turned up for the tour a day early. Going to a new city for the first time the best thing you can do is take a tour, most places offer a bus tour but for something unique take a food tour. Our guide Bronwyn ( I live 20 miles from Wales and that's the local spelling so apologies if it was different) was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect you could think of locatities, chefs, owners etc and certainly gave us a taste of Seattle to the point were we went back to Rose's chocolate cabin and bought quite a selection for family back home and the same night returned to The Frontier for a barbeque dinner - we did make a point of mentioning we had called in earlier in the day with the food tour. Enjoy!

This was a great experience, especially if you love food and are open to trying a variety of it, and if you are from out of town and wanting to learn more about Seattle. The amount of food was perfect, enough to be a meal. The variety was also great...such as italian, to trying wine, to trying spanish appetizers, desserts, sushi, etc. During the tour, not only do you get to try different foods and learn about the restaurants you're at, but you also learn about restaurants you are passing by, other things to do while visiting seattle, and lastly learn about the history of seattle. This is highly recommended. Doing such tours on your first day in town is also recommended in order to give you ideas on what to do or what restaurants to go to on following days.

The tour was amazing. We booked it as something to do in Seattle and we were definitely impressed. Aside from the great food, our tour guide gave us a great background on the city of Seattle as well as the food scene. The tour had a great combination of food and a good variety. Via Tribunali was a great addition.

The tour was an overview and history of the market as well as specific suggestions about places to get all sorts of food. Our tour leader seemed to know many of the vendors at the market which made it a very personalized tour. We got a variety of food samples including crumpets, boutique salami, truffle cream, clam chowder and much, much more. We were pleasantly full when it was over, and felt we had had a lovely 2 1/2 hours.
