Jesse did a good job of leading us through Annapolis. I would recommend a 5 or 10 minute 'play on the Segway' stop somewhere on the route.
I liked the idea of the wireless headsets... that was very good. My other Segway tour had us all crowding around the tour leader to hear about the sites.
Overall a great time was had by all! |

My daughter just turned 14 and has been dying to get on a Segway (age limit in DC is 16). We surprised her with a day trip to Annapolis and the Segway tour. For her, it was all about the Segway and the folks at SegZoneTours did a great job of getting her going and letting her explore and have fun. For us, as parents, the tour was handled safely and great for us as well. They equip all riders with headsets so we can hear the tour information easily. Good local information about historic sites, great recommendations for eats and shopping too. All in all, a great trip/tour. My duaghter said it best: "This was the best birthday ever!" This is a great way to see the sights! We were apprehensive about using a Segway, but after about 15 minutes of practice, it was really intuitive and easy to use. Go for it! |

My friend and I had never been on a Segway before but we quickly realized that it was very easy and sooooo much fun. I will certainly be looking for more Segway tours in other towns that I visit. Our tour guide was awesome as well! Overall a wonderful first experience. |

My girlfriend (Laura) and I decided to take a day off from work, to visit a local destination. When we decided on Annapolis, MD, the first thing that I did was go to TripAdvisor.com to ascertain what activities were worth pursuing. When we arrived at the Segway tour office, we were mildly greeted by the tourguide, who was conducting his very first tour (and battling a cold / flu). The young man behind the desk was less animated. Neither of the young men clearly identified themselves as tour operators. We filled out the requisite paperwork and prepared for the training. He took time to show us (individually) how to mount / dismount and to maneuver the PT while still inside the tight quarters of the office. Finally, he adjusted the handlebar height of the PT for myself and Laura (we are both of short stature). From there, we moved outside and gathered to ensure that our one-way headphone was receiving the tourguide's audio communications.
Despite what appeared to be unstable cobblestone paths, the Segway handled the tour extremely well. Our guide was quite eager to share his knowledge of Annapolis and keep our attention peaked. The tour itself was well planned, allowing for momentary "photo ops" at different locations. Since we went on a Friday, I have to believe that we experienced less than normal automobile traffic, which worked out VERY well to permit our use of the streets and sidewalks alike.
Things that I would recommend improving:
-Two-way audio with better fitting headset
-Company polo shirts
-Customer service training
-Complimentary bottled water
-Public facing bathrooms
-Variety of headgear for smaller heads
-More than four Segway Personal Transports (would allow for higher availability during peak hours)
Overall, we look forward to attending another tour in another city (perhaps even Washington DC, our home town) and we hope to evangelize the wonderful fun that can be had on a Segway! |

Our outing was an hour, but packed with fun. Our guide was awesome, informative, cute as a button, and very entertaining. Great at highlighting the sites. |

Good part was the the guide was allowing the group to drive the segway in the way they want along with explaining things well
Improvement would be annapolis tour was for 1and half hour but the tour got over in lesses than that , it would be good idea to manage the time so that it will be more fun |
